Well, in 8th grade we were too cool to slowdance anymore, but I seem to remember dancing to the song “Feelings” in 6th grade in the school cafeteria.
But today I´d choose Al Green; first some “How can you mend a broken heart ?” and then close the deal with “Simply beautiful”…
If that doesn´t get the wanted result I don´t know what would…

Rico Suave Nailed it. Every dance I have ever been to has played Eric Clapton – Wonderful Tonight and I have to say I notice it every time, that is the one people are out there for, definitly a safe one on anyones list. (This post is not by a crazed Clapton fan) My favorite slow numbers flucuate but my two faves right now(that can be slow danced to) would be U2 – Sometimes You Can’t Make It On Your Own and Paul McCartney – This Never Happend Before … Steal Dragon was on the money!

Red Velvet | 6/3/2007, 6:46 am EST

These give me some shivers:
1. Eagles – Hotel California (No doubts and competition. The first I thought of)
2. U2 – One (Shivers again from first sounds…)
3. Jon Bon Jovi – Always (Little bit subjective due to some recollections, but still Jon is at his best here and breaks heart after heart ;)
4. Whitney Houston – I Will Always Love You (Classics. No disputes.)
5. Aerosmith – I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing (Respect. And shivers again ;)
Oh, nostalgia… ;)

Any ballad from Journey was big for slow dances during the 80s. If you put on Journey when you were with a girl, you could get to 2nd base, but if you wanted to go to 3rd base, you had to put on REO’s High Infidelity album.
