I don’t know if any of you Murkans have ever read the british adult comic ‘Viz’ but throughout the eighties they used to run readers’ letters which included those from McCartney’s village neighbours who claimed that he was too tight to buy his own milk and regularly could be seen stealing bottles from their doorsteps at 6am.
The same economic sense applies with this Home Shopping channel.
He phones them up, they’re astounded that he wants to do it. They PAY him to be featured and the real point is to get you lot posting the news all over the media.

It’s a steal!

Eminem and Andrew Lloyd Webber? The Phantom of the Hip-Hopera?

Krista | 5/31/2007, 9:44 am EST

Eminem rocks!!! He can write whatever and I’ll still listen to him. His lyrics are unbeatable and I think other artists and people are intimidated by him and that’s why they diss him so much. I do agree that he is a GANG-STAR and not a ROCK STAR. lol

Paul can do what ever he wants . It`s his right . The guy has done it all he does`nt have to prove anything to anyone. If he wants to sell his newest cd on tv i`ll buy it . He was a Beatle.. He wrote over 200 songs with Lennon ..One of the most talented musicians songwriter fantastic singer best bass player in the world..Paul can do whatever he f`en wants..

Tim Burton must be completely out of his mind.

Andrew Lloyd Webber must be completely out of his mind

sir paul must be completely out of his mind and

RS must be completely out of their mind including eminem in its greatest artist of all time……

I think I disagree. | 5/30/2007, 4:29 pm EST

how is eminem not a rockstar? just because he does not play “rock” music? he does ROCK at what he does and he owned the world for a few years.
and lyrically, he IS a genius.

step out of your literal minds, you idiots.

When did the home shopping network get to be MTV or the Ed Sullivan show? First Elton John selling his album like a $1.99 cheap ass ring from China now the great “McCartney” whoring is new album like selling “Tits” on a girls gone wild viedo.

What’s wrong with Burton? Hey RS, your terms are becoming way too general… you can’t call Eminem a rock star. There must be some other term. Like… a gang-star?

Drew | 5/30/2007, 1:07 pm EST

Eminem “writes great lyrics that are way ahead.” Way ahead in what? The inspiration for a better world?

TEABAG | 5/30/2007, 12:11 pm EST

Would anyone see a movie about Eminem or Manson? Even if you do like either of them, why in the hell would you want to see a movie about them.

beefy | 5/30/2007, 11:20 am EST

since when is Eminem a rock star?

Will | 5/30/2007, 11:17 am EST

Macca’s good at starting to promote his new album… but on the Home Shopping Network? I think they have all of 300 viewers per year.

Dan | 5/30/2007, 10:56 am EST

Don McLean? Well hell, there’s enough incentive to buy it right there. That said, if I could afford it I’d buy it in a heartbeat.

Tim Burton must be completely out of his mind.

mikeky | 5/30/2007, 10:28 am EST

i’m sorry. did someone just use the phrase ‘country and western’? what decade are we in? way to stay current, ‘rolling stone’!! bravo!!

Stuporfly | 5/30/2007, 10:27 am EST

I thought Big Fish represented a turning point for Tim Burton. Sad to see he’s still just a frustrated suburban emo kid trapped in an old man’s body.

Shaun - Excellent point. And imagine who they might have left out by including Mclean. Leo Sayer? Nick Gilder? Color Me Badd?

abandonedstation | 5/30/2007, 10:26 am EST

the only reason anyone should pay $350,000 for that piano is if John Lennon was killed while playing it, and he composed a song about being shot in the back while dying.
Otherwise, it’s a ripoff.

And on the complete other side of the coin, Sir Paul is going on the home shopping network: ‘For every copy of my CD you buy, I’ll throw in a free George Foreman grill!’

Hey Bo Diddley!

I bet any money that Marilyn and Dita’s life was boring as hell apart from the sex. And an Eminem musical is probably a worse idea than that Bob Dylan musical (and whoever’s gonna play his Mom better be ready for a lot of abuse).

Go Black Francis! Go Herman Brood! A match made in heaven! (well, one of them is in heaven. Or perhaps hell…)

“The instrument has also been played by artists like Don Mclean and Bob Dylan.”

Why was Don Mclean first in that sentence again?

Riceisnice. | 5/30/2007, 9:43 am EST

Frank Francis Black is obviously insane…genius…but insane…
