
- Green Day has been bestowed the honor of punkifying the iconic opening theme song for this summer’s feature-length blockbuster, The Simpsons Movie. Contrary to earlier reports, Fall Out Boy will NOT be on the film’s soundtrack.
- Marilyn Manson’s fascination with Justin Timberlake grows creepier. Not only did Manson cover “What Goes Around Comes Around”, he also tells the BBC that he carries a picture of JT wherever he goes.

- We’re counting the days until autumn now that post-punk expatriates Liars have announced the details of their eloquently titled new album Liars, out August 28th.
- The new Batman film seems to be going the Year Zero route when it comes to advertising. This first image of Heath Ledger as The Joker promises to haunt our dreams until The Dark Knight’s release in July 2008.
