
- Kanye West is calling his next tour, in support of forthcoming new album Graduation, the Glow in the Dark tour and he’s hired Madonna’s choreographer to help make it awesome. “I’m working with [choreographer/director] Jamie King,” Kanye said. “I saw the last Madonna concert … and so I’ve been sitting down vibing with him, ’cause I want to bring the level of entertainment up another level. At the end of the day, regardless of the ‘he said/she said,’ regardless of whatever shit I talk, whatever shit anybody else talks, come to the show and have a good time.”
- The Grateful Dead are getting their own station on Sirius. The station, which will launch this summer, will stream music from the band’s entire career, as well as material from surviving band member’s personal archives, bootleg performances and previously unreleased material.
- For the last freaking time, Immigration: Let the rock stars into our country! M.I.A. is the latest artist to encounter visa problems that will result in show cancellations. The Sri Lankan rapper will not be able to play her scheduled set at Sasquatch.
- Stewart Copeland has big plans for the Police’s upcoming Bonnaroo gig, at which, he says, he wants “the rules to be completely different.” “We’ve got a fairly rehearsed set,” he said. “[But] those people who bought most of the tickets for most of the shows are not normal people. Those type of people, I think, buy more than one show. I’m trying to get that through to my buddies so that we change it up a little bit.”
