
- Former Creed frontman Scott Stapp was arrested yesterday for domestic assault. Police were called to the rocker’s $4.9 million home on Long Lake Estates in Palm Beach County, Florida, and Stapp was eventually taken in on domestic assault charges. No one was reportedly seriously injured in the incident — including Stapp’s wife, former Miss New York Jaclyn Nesheiwat — and Stapp is set to appear in court today.
- Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee has spoken out, discussing her marriage to head-shrinker Josh Hartzler and the recent departure of half her band.
- In tour news: Paul McCartney plans to wait until his divorce from Heather Mills is complete before launching a full tour in support of his new album Memory Almost Full, out June 5th. Neko Case will join Rufus Wainwright on the mostly southern leg of his upcoming summer tour. Fiona Apple and Nickel Creek will be playing thirteen dates together this summer, beginning August 2nd in Baltimore and ending August 19th in Westbury, N.Y.
- Remember how Michael Jackson was trying to stop that auction that included embarrassing possessions of his? Well he’s over it. The pop star and the auctioneers reached some kind of settlement and the sale is set to go through.
- Foxy Brown faces up to a year in jail stemming from battery charges she incurred in February when she allegedly attacked an employee and resisted arrest at a beauty supply store in Florida. Brown is already on probation for assaulting her manicurist.
- Shocker: Britney Spears hasn’t really been singing during these mini-comeback shows she’s been playing. While on stage Saturday night at Orlando’s House of Blues, Spears’ tape skipped during the singer’s 14-minute set.
