- Yesterday we reported that Bo Diddley had been hospitalized following a stroke. Now it appears that the legendary guitarist’s condition is much improved. Though the singer’s speech is impaired, doctors believe he will be able to perform again in the future. “We’re going to get a guitar for him and put it in his lap and let him entertain people here,” Diddley’s manager said. “People think that would be good therapy for him.”

When asked if he would agree to remove offensive lyrics from his music, Fiddy replied: “Music is a mirror, and hip-hop is a reflection of the environment that we grew up in. It’s the harsh realities that end up in the music. If I ask you to paint a picture of the American flag and not use the color red, you’re gonna have a difficult time.” Well put.

- Michael Jackson is desperate to stop an upcoming auction that will include embarrassing former possessions of his. The pop star has taken out a temporary restraining order against Chairman of Universal Express Richard Altomare in order to keep the sale from going through because he doesn’t want items like his “salacious” child-porn-ish art pieces, “whitening creams,” and “sex aids” exposed to the world.
- Turns out Ike Turner’s recent arrest was actually a mistake (!) The cops arrested Turner because, after pulling him over for speeding, their computer pulled up a 1989 felony narcotics warrant. The warrant has since been determined to be null and void and was only in the system due to a computer glitch. Oops.
- MetalSucks has a link to the newest leaked Marilyn Manson track, “Putting Holes in Happiness,” which will appear on his forthcoming new album Eat Me, Drink Me, out June 5th.
