- While we’re slightly impressed by the blue-screen balancing act that is the new Mandy Moore video, the true feat is listening to the entire song.
- My Chemical Romance are set to headline roving U.S. festival Projekt Revolution, if they ever recover from that bout of food poisoning.
- Fight Night at the Boston Pops! Watch two audience members duke it out during an orchestral performance of Gigi, which featured guest Ben Folds.
- Guitarist Richard Lloyd is turning off Television after the band’s June 16th Central Park show to concentrate on solo endeavors.
- Jenny Lewis’ other band, Rilo Kiley, will release their new album Under the Blacklight on August 20th.
- Billy Corgan and Jimmy Chamberlin are still half of the Smashing Pumpkins, this much we know. The other half? Two people that aren’t James Iha and/or D’Arcy, according to reports.
- Rolling Stone founder and Editor-In-Chief Jann Wenner sits down with former RS cover boy Stephen Colbert on tonight’s Colbert Report. Catch the battle of the titans on Comedy Central at 11:30 p.m. EST.

Billy and Jimmy are not “half of the Smashing Pumpkins”. They are “The Smashing Pumpkins”.
Just because D’Arcy and Iha’s pictures are on the records doesn’t mean they played a note on them.
Is it still Nine Inch Nails without Robin Finck? I think so. Same concept.

Who is Jenny Lewis?
Zachra | 5/10/2007, 2:56 pm EST
Jeff,
The Pumpkins notes might be fact, but Corgan re-recording Iha’s parts on the records without telling him until it came out was a dick move anyway you look at it.
Let’s just hope it’s nothing like Adore or Machina.

Do you guys even do reviews anymore? Children of Men came out a long time ago

“My Chemical Romance are set…” Umm, shouldn’t that be My Chemical Romance IS set…?” Or, is there suddenly more than one My Chemical Romance?
abandonedstation | 5/10/2007, 3:48 pm EST
Why does Mandy Moore remind me so much of Ann Murray? Is it just because their names sound the same? Or the superficial music? Perhaps it’s the Christmas specials…
My Chemical Romance should hire food testers. Cheap ones who can be bribed easily…
Regarding the Boston Pops Massacre: Who said it was only rap music that made people violent? ‘Thank Heavens for Little Girls’ can make anyone crazy, I guess.
I haven’t heard of Jenny Lewis, either. I must not be ‘with it’.
Come on, Iha! Being bossed around by Baldy Corgan wasn’t that bad, was it?

I love Jenny Lewis.

I kinda like the Mandy Moore song. Kind of bland pop but so much better than hip hop songs that rip off other bland pop songs you hear on the radio.

television was awful when I saw them except for marquee moon the night was lost. they should have taken a cue from mission of burma who made you believe a reunion show is worth going to
kcv | 5/10/2007, 8:38 pm EST
well ‘marquee moon’ that song is a masterpiece…if you love great guitar, you won’t hear much better than that song. incredible stuff.
chasingheathercrazy | 5/10/2007, 11:40 pm EST
Corgan has lost it. Check out either his solo album or his “poetry” book. Yeeesh
charliemapleton | 5/11/2007, 1:40 am EST
Brawl at the Boston Pops huh?
So I guess maestro got knocked the f**k out.

Television has always been an unpredictable combustion of energies. I saw them open for PeterGabriel in 1978, and not being a NewYawker, was oblivious to their existence.
Knocked me out.”Elevation don’t go to my head”. It’s possible to see them on an off-night, but when that chemistry clicks, send the children to their rooms.
love it. | 5/14/2007, 3:17 pm EST
Nice Mandy.
