- Lakisha Jones was ousted from American Idol last night, leaving Blake, Melinda, and Jordan to vie for the AI crown.

- Akon has apologized for the exploitative dancing he did with an underage fan at a concert in Trinidad. “I want to sincerely apologize for the embarrassment and any pain I’ve caused to the young woman who joined me on stage, her family and the Trinidad community for the events at my concert,” the artist said in a statement. “It was never my intention to embarrass or take advantage of my fans in any way, especially those under the age of 18.”
- NSYNC and Jive Records are being sued for $10 million, for allegedly stealing a song from a musician named Troy Alexander (aka Royal T). The dude claims that in 1990 he played Jive a demo tape that included a track he wrote called “Up Against the Wall.” Years later Jive singed NSYNC and released a “substantially similar” song by the same name in 2001. It took him six years to figure it out, but now Royal T is pissed.
- Simpsons creator Matt Groening has commented on Green Day’s appearance in the upcoming Simpsons movie. “Green Day is in the movie — I will publicly acknowledge that Green Day are in the movie,” Groening said. “They’re really good sports and I think we both honor them and Simpson-ize them. You can take that however you want. They’re really nice guys.”
