I am suprised Manson followed the cliche theatrical music video trend. I’m very curious on how the new album will sound

He used to be interesting. He used to be cool. He is now lame. He is now cliched. He is now tacky. He is now obnoxious. He has lost any artistic sense he once had and is almost a parody of himself.

If she breaks his heart, that means he will break her heart-shaped glasses, thus taking away my sole reason for living.

It’s beautifully shot, the two of them are absolutely goregous, but it’s really just kind of boring.

I really liked Manson in the past but he has really fallen off

I liked the visuals/lighting in the video, even if it wasn’t overly creative or shocking. The song is definitely not his best, but I’ll give the album a chance.

WOW!!! Its classic Manson at his best. It does look like a clip from Lost Highway, but so what, thats a great movie, why not pull from that? Evan Rachel Wood was an excellent choice for this video,these types of scenes will definitely help launch her career. I, for one, can’t to see more of this kind of entertainment, GREAT JOB MANSON!!!

I must admit, I’ve never been a fan of anything Marilyn Manson’s ever put out, other than the theme work he did for the first Resident Evil movie, “Rock Is Dead” because it was on the Matrix soundtrack, and all the 80’s New Wave classics he’s covered and prolonged his career with with all the nostalgic goodwill they garnered.

I must admit, I’m still not a fan. This video felt really contrived and Evan Rachel Wood’s desperate Lolita posturing was embarrassing and more than a little lame. It even felt more than a little out of place to me.

I’m sure all parties had a great time making the video, though, so that’s cool. I mean, it’s gotta be fun arbitrarily engaging in softcore sex play with your underage girlfriend for the world to see in a Lynchian video when you’re 40 and looking more feminine than ever.

I thought the song wasn’t too bad, at all, though. I dug that it was relatively tasteful and downbeat. I kept waiting for Manson to get all pissed off and start screaming like he usually does but was very pleasantly surprised when he didn’t. I even felt there was a certain sweetness in its simplicity and throwback sound. If that wasn’t all intended, I apologize but I sincerely dug it. He should stick with it.

I thought it was great — wonderfully Lynchian in its Lost Highway imagery, and I really like so much of David Lynch’s stuff. Frankly, I never liked the extremescreechingstuff that Manson did, but I liked this piece of work, and I enjoyed the funny moments — so what if there was a bloodbath at the end; he’s pretty broken-hearted, and this brilliant bit of psychodrama is impressive. Who was the film director? I only wish he’d made this with the luscious Dita! Ooh, baby baby — we would have had a more gratifying bod to watch.

This reminds me of Iggy Pop/David Bowie song “China Girl”. This a serious differnt sound for Manson, I still though it is very good!!!☺

The only thing this video is missing is a scene where MM jumps over a shark tank on a motorcycle.

Now he’s dating a 19 year-old actress and making a song called “Heart-Shaped Glasses”.

Wake up, the guy’s still playing you all for the fools you were in 1996 when you mistook a pun of “Jesus Christ Superstar” to be some kind Satanic threat to America. And in 1998, when you actually thought that picture of him with breasts was real (again, missing the reference to Ziggy Stardust).

If he diecides to make another album, he’ll find another girl who fits the form. Marilyn Manson doesn’t love these women; he just loves forcing you to fret over nonsense.

Criticizing what you can’t enough of: Controversy, celebrity relationships, school shootings, war, and decadent debauchery.

I can definitely hear The Killers in this. The video is cheesy and not in a good way, it’s directed by James Cameron of Titanic etc which kind of suprised me. Manson wouldnt say if the sex was real or not (obviously a certain amount had to have been) but he did say that he insisted that wood be paid the most an actress has ever been paid for a music video. Well if that doesn’t make her sound cheap and whorish I don’t know what does. I reckon she’ll regret this in a few years.

Forget the video, the song is beyond horriable, and this is from a person who has been following his career since Smells like Children.

I don’t think any of us REALLY care about how old his girlfriend is, we are just repeating the public mouth programmed into us. Anywho, the song is more enjoyable and frank than Holy Wood or GAOG (though both of these albums appeal to me more musically. Let’s just face it, they were both too much of putting one’s self into a role, and that eventually kills the music).
I appreciate Manson finally coming clean about how much he is a part of the mainstream world, proven by his lack of musical talents, riffs stolen from cliches, appereance like HIM’s singer. He is just a lonely little boy who thinks that he is finding his true self in trapping himself into the role of a rock star. Oh and let’s not forget how he is only looking for love. Sad little boy, really. Guess he is just living what he really deserves after all. When a smart, wise person deliberately makes mistakes (because he is too much of a chicken shit to face the vastness of possible facts), excuses have to be justified into some form of mainstream art. And this is a clear result of that.

Ditching Dita Von Teese undoes any sort of thought that Manons is an “intelligent human being.” Just because he’s creepy looking but can put together coherent sentences does not make him intelligent. Clearly he’s a fucking idiot.

Before you people going all puritan-like about this video, and declaring that Evan’s actress career is over because of this, you should watch “Thirteen”. It’s far more shocking/creepy than all Manson’s videos put together, and still a great movie.
