Lunchtime Poll: The Magic Sonic Bullet

5/2/07, 2:04 pm EST

Bush Heather

Yesterday our president, George W. Bush, vetoed the Iraq war spending bill, a piece of legislation that aimed to set strict timelines for U.S. troop withdrawal. “It makes no sense to tell the enemy when you plan to start withdrawing,” the President condescended in a message to the masses on national TV. We aren’t sure what the Dems are going to do next, but we want to help them out. You have five minutes alone with the President today. You don’t speak (not enough time). Instead you play him one song powerful enough to convince him to backburner his ineptitude for half a minute and sign that bill. What song do you count on to save our country?

you have no idea what you´re talking about.

just as ex-cia director tenet is coming out with his book staing terrorist groups had people in place to set off wmds (spefically ith the use of lethal gas) in new yok city subways in 2003, they called it off because they had something better planned. of course, we have stopped these terrorist groups from pulling anything off, don´t think they haven´t been trying for the past five and a half years…saying otherwise makes NO sense. Fact is, regardless of what Democrats say, Bush HAS protected the vast majority of the American people. Islamic extremeists want to destroy us, and have not been able to for quit some time.

I will probably vote for Obama because I do feel we need a ( change of ace) plus a way out of this situation in the Middle East, but the way out is TO GET OFF OIL. Democrats, for the msot part, still can´t come up with a realistic plan to do that. As far as I´m concerned, they are even worse than the current Administration, because not only do they not protect us, but they offer no solutions on how to make the situation better. It´s just constantly bitch , bitch, bitch and has been since 2000. 7 years and no solutions…no wonder wwe are in such bad shape.

I know it’s cliche, but IMAGINE by Lennon.

Helpless Dancer | 5/3/2007, 12:03 pm EST

Well I was going to say Won’t Get Fooled Again by The Who, but it’s about 8 minutes long and you said we only had 5 minutes. So I guess I’ll have to say…no, I still say WGFA because I can’t think of anything else. He’ll just have to take some extra time…

Glovy | 5/3/2007, 1:34 pm EST

Imagine is awesome and all, but, remember George Bush Said he only likes The Beatles “before they got weird.” John Lennon is definately “weird.”
