Britney Embarks On Fifteen-Minute Comeback, Beasties Inspired By Beyonce, And More

5/2/07, 9:14 am EST

  • Britney Spears performed her first live show in three-ish years. It lasts fifteen minutes. The pop start took the stage late last night, opened her five-song set with “Baby One More Time” and then split after thanking everyone for coming.
  • The Beastie Boys considered naming their new album Thick Like Beyonce’s Legs but decided to go with The Mix-Up instead because they didn’t want to offend the pop diva. “I was a big fan of the title ‘Thick Like Beyonce’s Leg’ but that didn’t make the final cut for some reason,” Mike D said. “Beyonce’s very talented and beautiful and she’s probably stronger than we are…we didn’t want to have any problems with her.”
  • Testimony in the Phil Spector murder trial has been canceled for the rest of the week because of lead defense attorney Bruce Cutler’s health issues. Fellow defense attorney Christopher Plourd said, “There were some health concerns for Bruce which we think will be resolved and will be able to go forward next week.”
  • Muse and My Chemical Romance have been forced to cancel a few of their US tour dates because members of the band and their respective crews came down with a serious case of food poisoning. Gross. Ginger ale guys, ginger ale.

Satellite Party is an abomination. They were so embarassingly bad at Coachella I wanted to cry. Perry needs to get back on the drugs and find a real band.

I`ve read various comments here & there that Britney`s 15 minute show, was lip synched and she charged $125.00 a ticket.
