- My Chemical Romance bassist Mikey Way will take time off from playing with the band to properly celebrate his recent marriage. “I’m very proud to announce my brother’s recent marriage. Watching him grow up into a man and finding love makes me the happiest brother alive,” Mikey’s brother Gerard wrote on the band’s Web site. The band has decided to continue on with as-of-yet unannounced replacement.
- Much of Amy Winehouse’s excellent, emotional record Back To Black was reportedly inspired by the tumultuous relationship with on-again-off-again boyfriend Blake Fielder-Civil. According to reports Winehouse hasn’t let the pair’s chaotic history derail their future together as she’s recently gotten engaged to the guy. Congrats you crazy kids.
- Flamboyant pop provocateur Patrick Wolf has posted an emotional rant on his Web site in which he rails against his insane hot-new-artist-appropriate schedule and announces that a November performance with an orchestra in London will be his last. Patrick say it ain’t so!
- Sara Ramirez (aka George’s badass wife Callie on Grey’s Anatomy) will be recording her own album. “All I can say is that Eric Idle and John Du Prez, who were the writers of Spamalot, are writing the album,” Ramirez hinted.
