- Behold the cover of the White Stripes new album Icky Thump. It’s coming out June 19th and we expect it will be awesome.
- We’re all used to hearing that Snoop Dogg is in trouble with the law. He’s the gangsta who terrifies British people and carries a truncheon in his luggage. But this time around, though, it looks like Snoop may actually face serious jail time as he’s being brought up on charges stemming from alleged weapons possession and transportation of marijuana.
- Madonna is known for her ability to pick the perfect collaborators so it makes sense that she’s working on new material with it-boy Justin Timberlake. JT told The Sun: “I have been working on some new music but it’s not for myself — I’m writing for other people. I’m working on some stuff for Madonna.” Nice.
- Prepare to hear the saddest news ever: Johnny Cash’s longtime home in Tennessee was destroyed by fire on Tuesday. John and June lived in the house from the late ’60s through the time of their deaths, in 2003. After they passed away, former Bee Gee Barry Gibb bought the property and was planning to remodel it. The cause of the fire is as of yet unknown.
- Pete Wentz knows what a pull-quote is and he’s designed one for use by journalists who want to write about the latest development in the “personal issues” that resulted in the delay of Fall Out Boy’s tour. “No one has left the band, no one is dead, and no one is going to rehab,” Wentz said. “I need that as a big pull-quote, man, because everyone thinks that. It’s a health issue, but not a health issue that anyone needs to worry about. It’s not life-threatening, it’s more about being overworked and worn down. It’s nothing serious.” Got it.
- 50 Cent is the newest bold name artists supposedly working with Michael Jackson on the former pop star’s new album. The pair are rumored to be working on a track called “Trial of the Century,” which chronicles Jackson’s legal woes.
