Our top music hounds scoured the ends of the earth to find the ten most exciting new bands and artists out there. Here are our 10 Artists to Watch, lovingly curated and ripe for your eyes and ears.

And because we love turning you on to awesome music so much, we’re announcing right here and now that we’ll be kicking off a weekly Artist to Watch column beginning a week from today (that’s Wednesday, March 28th, folks). So come back and get our take on the latest, hottest tunes out there. We’ll give you the inside scoop, as well as some music to enjoy and exclusive video of the artists in action. In the meantime, tell us who we need to hear: Nominate your picks RIGHT NOW for the new music that deserves to be an Artist to Watch. That means submitting the band’s name and a way to hear it in the comments section below. Who knows? Maybe you know something we don’t!

Ben Deignan is definitely an artist to watch. His style is unique in a good way. He does covers of other songs but makes the songs his own unlike other people in youtube. He is very talented. He can play the guitar and has the amazing voice to back it up. So, in my opinion, Ben Deignan is truly worth checking out.

Well I don’t know if rolling stone writers actually go through this uber long list of nominations; currently totaling over 700. But if and when they do decide to “muffle” through these contenders, cyber passerbys can mull over this list and decide for themselves if their worth checking out.

So here goes my rant and rave - I would like to nominate Ben Deignan, who among all the YouTube and Myspace musicians is well worth an artist to watch. A singer and songwriter from Georgia brings a unique style that blends the soulful sounds of Stevie Wonder to the pop rock sounds of Maroon 5. All of which is compactly well executed with just an acoustic guitar.
