There has seldom been a more overrated album. The Arctic Monkeys are a 2nd-rate high school garage act. They suck.

But, Rolling Stone loves them. What else do you expect from a magazine that also loves Bright Eyes and Ryan Adams???

This paragraph doesn’t specifically mention Arcade Fire, but is the best thing I have read about rock music lately.

I don’t see why Paul going on the Starbucks label would be considered selling out. After all, it’s just another record label. The music retailing landscape has changed dramatically since 2000 and now Apple and Starbucks are among the biggest music distributers around.

I see no problem with it. 3 cheers for Sir Paul. The major labels, think who the heck thay are anyway. Paul should start up his own label again(once the dust settles from the big D.)& invest in the new unknow talent trying to break into the music business.

The Artic Monkees….

the new single isn’t that bad. It doesn’t really have a chorus, but it gets by on surf rock guitars and attitude.

Really, the artic monkees were never that good at “rocking’.
they were much better when they sounded like a pop group.

I’m sure they’ll have a few songs as good as “Mardy Bum”, “Riot Van” and “A Certain Romance” were on the debut.
