This remix of Rich Boy’s “Throw Some D’s” (which, FYI actually refers to Dayton wire dubs, i.e. car bling) features an entirely different kind of D. That’d be the D-cup, y’all. Sure it’s offensive to women, but what rap song isn’t these days? We appreciate that as self-righteous as Kanye can be, even he lets his hair down now and again. Ho’s with big boobs = fail-safe comedic subject matter!

the only hope for this song is if kanye came in at the end and said “fuck y’all, its called tongue in cheek”
otherwise, this is sad.

I’d actually argue that the song isn’t sexist. It acknowledges the pressure that society puts on women, jests at those who succumb, and applauds people like Alicia Keys who fight these societal trends. It amazes me how Kanye’s songs can appeal to stereotypical rap crowds but have an intellectual backing to them. He is definitely one of the only good things in hip hip today.

Ah hell, Kanye! Dude needs to get that new album out ASAP. He needs a press tour or something to keep his ass busy so he stops doing remixes. What will it be next week Kanye? Knights of Cydonia?? (ok, actually would be interesting)

Chuck’s right — if you listen to the lyrics (not that most hip hop fans will bother), they’re all about how ridiculous the pressure on women is (and, to be fair, it also takes some women to task for giving in). He clearly praises Alicia Keys for being happy with how she’s built (then again, how couldn’t she be?).

Five!? that’s all?
Well, it is kind of difficult,
but in that case I think this will be my ranking:
(1) Freddy Mercury
(2) Robert Plant
(3) Jeff Buckley
(4) David Bowie
(5) Paul McCartney
