You’re back in high school. Your parents told you have to get a summer job to pay for that eight track, and you’re stuck flipping burgers/frying fish/making tacos. You get to pick one rock star with whom you’ll work side-by-side at the fry station all summer long. Who do you choose to share paper hat wearing duties with?

That is of course Wayne Coyne from the Flaming Lips, since he was doing that for years at a Long John Silver in Oklahoma City.

David Lee Roth. Or Paul Westerberg.
Russ | 2/27/2007, 11:52 am EST

I really do work at McDonalds and my co worker really is the guy who sang lead vocals for Motley Crue while Vince Neil tried going solo. He’s a cool guy.

Dave Grohl obviously.
Paddy A. | 2/27/2007, 1:42 pm EST

Also, working with Jack Black would be amazing. If it was a female I would pick Andrea Corr so we could get busy in a Burger King bathroom.
bud4life | 2/27/2007, 8:02 pm EST
so many to choose from….. i would have to go with Jack Johnson. flip burgers by day, surf in the evening, and jam by the campfire at night.
velvetjones | 2/27/2007, 8:12 pm EST
gotta agree about dave grohl. or flea. or zach de la rocha throwing burgers at the management. michael jackson would scare away everyone, means more burgers for us…
Rory | 2/27/2007, 11:35 pm EST
I would go with either Dave Grohl (nicest guy in rock & roll) or Jack Black (hilarious, and would probably eat a lot of food)

Since 8-tracks were out by the time I was in high school (late 80’s-early 90’s) I’d get all the used ones and make a killing out the back of the store, selling them on the side to spaced out Deadheads who still wanted them. I’d probably be retired by this point if I had.

Robert A. Zimmerman | 4/13/2007, 4:37 pm EST
Bob Dylan,of course. He’d be mean to the customers, probably make a mess of the orders, and undoubtedly would give incorrect change(never did finish college).Plus he’d look cute in the hat and apron combo.
