- Public Enemy are going on tour! Chuck D, Flava Flav and Professor Griff will begin their dates on March 7 in Louisiana before heading north and hitting other major North American cities like Chicago, New York, Toronto and Baltimore. Check the full list of dates after the jump.
- According to Kelly Osbourne, someone in her family has AIDS. Osbourne allegedly broke down in tears while speaking at a benefit for HIV-affiliated charity Body & Soul. She apparently said that the cause was close to her heart because one of her family members has the disease. Scary.
- Morrissey is going to announce 40 North American tour dates. Apparently the first date is April 27th, though other details are hazy at this time. Apparently we can all expect more info in the next two weeks!
- Paul Weller’s recent resurgence as the king of mod-tastic cool seems to have inspired his former Jam bandmates to reunite…without him. Bruce Foxton and Rick Butler will apparently play twenty dates with someone called Russell Hastings filling in for Weller on vocals. We’re not seeing a frantic exchange of tickets on eBay for these dates, but you never know.
- The Police must enjoy watching fans clamor for every spare ticket to the as-yet-announced shows. Billboard reports that as the shows sell out, more will be announced, which will keep the I-must-be-there energy going.
- Is Sasquatch! the little festival that could? This year’s lineup for the little discussed two-day festival that takes place Memorial Day weekend in George, Washington includes an impressive collection of name artists like Interpol, Arcade Fire and Bjork, among many others. Full lineup after the jump. [via Stereogum]
