ridiculously excited about the new tori album. interesting title. now, let’s see if she pulls herself out of the adult contemporary dullness of her last record as she has hinted in previous cryptic comments…

Hmmm. Let’s study the iconography of Tories’ picture. Most obvious: The Bible in her right hand. Next, the blood dripping down her left leg which is slightly askew, yum. Of course, the red hair and the glitter dress with the high heels with a the left strap undone (she’s come undone). Finally she has “Shame” written in the palm of her left hand. I can’t really read the word but it would be a shame if she wrote “Slave” as Prince has previously declared himself to be one.

She is depicting a suburban housefrau who is expressing her inner desire for something more, how should we say a bit feral in her life, all the whilst aware that she’ll never be able to leave the suburban existence she ahs so carefully crafted for herself. Good work if you can get it.
