- That Bjork is so sneaky. Everyone’s favorite punk rock sprite has reportedly subtly suggested that on May 7th she will release her long-awaited new album. She has done this by including the date 07.05.07 – New Album (tbc) on the list of upcoming releases and appearances on her Web site, Pitchfork reports. But looking at the site now, we only see this: XX.0X.07. Sigh. What does it all mean!?
- Slowly but surely, apparently, the track list for NIN new album Year Zero (due out April 17th) will appear on this site. So far we know that the second song is titled “The Beginning of the End.” Ominous. We like it. [via Blabbermouth]
- If you are Microsoft Vista user and you love your iPod, hang in there. Apple has announced a series of problems for those trying to run iTunes with Vista, but they expect to resolve them via new versions of iTunes shortly.
- Storied British venue The Hammersmith Palais will reportedly be demolished in order to build yet another office building. Worse, Kasabian will be one of the last two acts to ever play the place. These are dark days.
- Swizz Beatz’s forthcoming solo album, One Man Band, will apparently feature collaborations with … Coldplay. The band apparently helped him out on a song called “Part Of The Plan.” When is all this music scene incest going to stop?
- Will the Beatles top the charts once more? According to an industry source, if the band’s catalogue is made available for download, they might find themselves with hit records again. “No one knows how powerful the sales of downloads may be. But half a billion pounds is not out of the question,” the source apparently postulated. “If hundreds of thousands of people start downloading entire Beatles albums, the entire Top 40 could be Fab Four songs now that downloads are taken into account.”
