Sadly, the cost of buying Super Bowl time proved too much for the likes of dot-com startup Outpost.com, and they are no longer among the living. All we have are these three Super Bowl commercials (the “Ravenous Wolves” one is our personal favorite, although the “Gerbil Cannon” and “Tattoo Day Care” ads probably could have had their own spots on this countdown) to help us “remember their name,” as the ads begged us to do. Oh, we remember you, Outpost.com. We hardly knew ye, but we’ll never forget what you did to that marching band. That was God’s work.

I’ve been looking long and hard for the 1995 commercial with George Siefert and John Elway and others singing karaoke. “LOOOOOVE IS A MANY SPLENDORED THING…”
Can’t find it anywhere!

C’mon! How could Monster.com’s legendary Superbowl commercial “When I Grow Up” (1999) be left off the list?

The absolute best commerical is the one produced by Anhouser-Busch where a group of soldiers were walking thru an airport terminal, either on their way home or back to the war zone.
As they walked thru, civilians began to applaud them, growing in intensity as they moved toward the boarding gate.
No words spoken, but very powerful in meaning. Thanking those who searved and are searving.
The final scene where the one soldier turned to look back. His glare was either in thanks for the appreciation or disbelief in what he had just experienced…a very powerful and beautiful spot…
And they don’t run it anymore.
A shame…need more like that today. Everyday!

Just because a commercial is about the military doesn’t make it the best commericial of all time. Although it is nice to see that there can be a military commericial that isn’t extremly condiscending to anyone not serving in the military.
