- Shocker: Kate Moss did not enjoy watching (along with a millions of morbidly curious/horrified Web site surfers) her lovely boyfriend shoot up while lying to her about his whereabouts. The supermodel has reportedly called it quits (once again). “Kate is understandably livid about these pictures,” a source apparently said. “That they were taken just two days after their special commitment ceremony simply adds insult to injury.”
- Linkin Park have reportedly announced that they will release the as-of-yet untitled follow up to 2003’s Meteora on April 30th. Rick Rubin and Park vocalist/proud multi-tasker Mike Shinoda produced the record, which, according to other lead Linkin Park dude Chester Bennington, is “dark and spooky, poppy and very melodic.” “We’re straying away from a lot of the predictable sounds we’ve had in the past,” Bennington reportedly said. “But there’s no question in your mind when you hear it that it’s Linkin Park.” Whew.
- Another day, another producer for Britney Spears. Yesterday it was the Pet Shop Boys who were supposedly slated to fix Brit’s ailing career (a rumor they’ve since denied) and today it’s Dr. Luke (the genius behind Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone”).
- Witty dance-loving group the Klaxons are having a good week in the U.K. They are set to beat both seriously hot buzz band the View and snore-inducing warbler Norah Jones for the top spot on the charts with their album Myths Of The Near Future.
- Check out this incredibly cool lo-fi take on Nick Drake’s “To the Garden.” Apparently the track was originally available on Tanworth-In-Arden 1967/68, an un-mastered tape passed down from one hardcore Drake fan to another. [via Stereogum]
- Note to self: Get wasted before auditioning for Jay-Z. That’s what Lady Sovereign apparently says she did, and look how well she’s turned out.
- Maybe Ozzy is having empty nest problems. First reports came out that the lunatic rocker/family man was considering moving his family back to England to be closer to Kelly, and now Kelly has apparently said that every time she tries to move out her father just moves her stuff back in. Cute? Weird? Both.
