6. We’re Not Gonna Take It! (1984)

It’s the Godfather of revered Super Bowl commercials, and we’re undoubtedly setting ourselves up for a torrent of hate mail by putting it this far down the list. Yes, Ridley Scott directed it. Yes, it’s cinematically impressive, it suggests chilling parallels between modern society and the nightmare world of Orwell’s 1984, and it proved Apple had a set of brass ones for taking on IBM head to head. But you know what? It’s kinda overrated. Great in hindsight, but not the kind of thing you’d forward around to all your buddies…at least our PC has advised us not to.

WHAT FIVE ADS COULD POSSIBLY BE BETTER THAN APPLE’S “1984″? TUNE IN TOMORROW TO FIND OUT…

The only commercials I ever liked were the ones with Nipsey Russell as Ronald McDonald. Everything else is shit.

This is the one commercial that started all SUPER COMMERCIALS. Maybe it’s not funny but it’s influence today cannot be denied. See the Hillary Clinton spoof on youtube.com.
