After ogling a pair of Jersey girl best friends, the second of whom tried to defend her partner-in-shopping from Simon’s criticism, Simon made this pronouncement: “Let me give you one lesson in showbiz: When someone is down on the floor, kick them.” So noted.
- Another year, another 749 albums from Robert Pollard. He’s working on three different projects set for release this year.
- Thurston Moore apparently felt the need to defend actor Michael Pitt’s music career. Pitt’s band, Pagoda, is on Moore’s Ecstatic Peace label and according to Moore, they totally rock. No seriously, they do. “Pagoda is not a part-time job for Pitt,” Moore said. “He is an artist with living expression as his goal and music is where he thrives.”

She continued the party upstairs where she defiantly opened one of those absurdly expensive in-room-only bottles of spring water.
- Snoop is sticking to the story that the truncheon (we love writing that word) found in his luggage at a California airport this past summer was part of his costume. He’s pleading not guilty to weapon’s possession charges stemming from the incident.
