- Over the weekend Fall Out Boy’s new album Infinity On High leaked, and Pete Wentz has suggested the album will now be pushed for a January 30th release (it was supposed to come out February 6th). Wentz has also posted a pouty message on his band’s Web site (full text of which appears after the jump) in which he guilt trips legions of sixteen-year-olds.
- Damon Albarn is quitting the Tony Blair fan club. “I am no longer a New Labour supporter,” the socially conscious rocker reportedly said, “I am now a Communist.” Good to know.
- Paul McCartney and soon to be ex-wife Heather Mills can’t even agree on whether or not they’ve reached a settlement in their divorce. Earlier it was reported that the couple has agreed on the terms of the divorce, but Heather Mills’ lawyers have apparently denied such claims, saying that the former model has neither been offered nor accepted any settlement.
- According to a report in Sunday’s New York Post, the new Nirvana bio by writer Everett True (simply titled Nirvana – The Biography) contains salacious details about the birth of Frances Bean Cobain. According to True, Kurt was detoxing in the hospital when Courtney went into labor. Love reportedly described the scene to True as follows: “I’m having the baby, it’s coming out, [Kurt's] puking, he’s passing out and I’m holding his hand and rubbing his stomach while the baby’s coming out.” Gross.
- Read Win Butler’s thank you letter to those of you who attended one of Arcade Fire’s recent insanely-hyped shows in the U.K. and Canada. This video – taken at Canterbury High in Ottawa – shows you what you missed.
- Gwen Stefani has invited Lady Sovereign to open for her on the pop star’s spring tour. Check out the dates on Lady Sovereign’s MySpace page.

As this tour winds to an end in the south- this last two weeks has felt like forever. There have been so many ups and downs… each city was carefully picked for one reason or another. Thank you for taking part in this with us. On another note our new record has leaked. While this isn’t the end of the world it certainly feels pretty terrible. As an artist we have a vision for how we want our record to be presented and this isn’t it. It is unfortunate that a couple of vultures in a plant somewhere can ruin this vision so easily. On the other hand we understand what its like to wait and wait for a new record… that’s one of the reasons we tried so hard to get a new record out soon. We didn’t want our fans to wait. We appreciate those of you who are still waiting, but like I said, we understand those who have to sneak a peek at the presents under the tree the night before. Please remember that as the music industry changes more and more we only put out records so we can keep touring and travelling. We want to keep this going for as long as possible. Obviously your support helps that. Please take this into consideration with whatever decision you make when it comes to downloading the record and buying it when it is released.
Thanks.
