Nugent Strikes Offensive Chord at Gov’s Bash

1/19/07, 4:39 pm EST

Ted Nugent
Note to elected officials with any further political aspirations: Never book Ted Nugent to play your inauguration party. Witness the case of Republican Texas Governor Rick Perry whose term got off to an unfortunate start when he invited the fanatical right-wing rocker to help celebrate the start of his second term in office. Oops!

According to witnesses (apparently none of whom were savvy enough to get some video) Nugent’s presentation featured machine-gun props, a sleeveless Confederate flag t-shirt, and lots of “offensive remarks about non-English speakers.”

The performance has gotten less than rave reviews from both Republicans AND liberals. “I think it was a horrible choice,” said GOP strategist Royal Masset. Meanwhile, Gary Bledsoe, president of the Texas chapter of the NAACP blasted back at the gun-loving Motor City Madman (who is now George Bush’s neighbor in Crawford, TX). “Whenever someone sports the Confederate battle flag, many Texans will be offended, and rightly so, because of what it symbolizes – the enslavement of African-Americans and more recently the symbol of hate groups and terrorists.”

The governor’s spokesman, Robert Black, has been buried in Def-Con damage control ever since. “Ted Nugent is a good friend of the governor’s,” Black admitted. “He asked him if he would play at the inaugural. He didn’t put any stipulation of what he would play.”

You mean he didn’t ask him not to dress as a monster truck enthusiast and spout racist slurs while armed? Do you think Nugent went too far or that Texas is taking all this too seriously?

yeah nuge! let ‘em have it!

David | 1/19/2007, 4:53 pm EST

I don’t like him or his politics but I so sick of the moralist media getting all up in arms whenever somebody does anything. Freedom of expression exists now…only in my memories.

DanZbassman | 1/19/2007, 4:58 pm EST

Freedom of expression doesn’t mean freedom from criticism if you act like a motorcity moron.

cobracommander | 1/19/2007, 5:06 pm EST

When you hire the nuge to do anything you should know what you’re in for. The nuge does whatever the nuge feels like. Sweaty Teddy’s always been a loose cannon.

Jimmy Pasta | 1/19/2007, 5:09 pm EST

Freedom of expression does not mean freedom from criticism. What do you think – you just say whatever you want and everyone is supposed to say, well, that’s fine? Of course Nuge can say whatever he likes – and we are free – FREE – to express ourselves regarding him and anyone/anything else. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech for everyone – yes. It doesn’t mean you are immune from criticism. got it, you fucking crybabies?

Jaime | 1/19/2007, 5:10 pm EST

Ted Nugent is a born prick, and that’s a fact, jack!

bhupi | 1/19/2007, 5:17 pm EST

What we need is even MORE sensitivity. Lets bring it on. Let’s criticize everything everbody does ALL of the time. I am so offended at RS for even posting that this happened. This totally ruined my day. How am I going to live after this. It’s everybody else that is the problem, not me. I’m so hurt and offended…boo hoo….

tennessee | 1/19/2007, 5:19 pm EST

It’d be nice to see at least one right leaning article on the RS Website. Or try even being slightly moderate…..

michigan | 1/19/2007, 5:32 pm EST

I love all the comments by the red-neck, red-state spittoons who think it’s “cool” to wave around guns and confederate flags. When the rest of us make fun of these hayseeds they accuse the “media” of being unfair. What a joke! Nugent is a has-been hick who was, at best, a mediocre guitarist.

hahaha | 1/19/2007, 5:38 pm EST

We tolerate Miss (Black) America,
BET, Ebony magazine and the great pretender, Jesse Jackson…so whats the problem with Ted Man, Man??

Uriah h | 1/19/2007, 5:49 pm EST

I vote for Nugent. We need lots more like him.

NV | 1/19/2007, 5:52 pm EST

Freedom of expression goes both ways – if you’re going to dish it out, you’d better be prepared to take it. Here I thought Conservatives were supposed to be the tough guys of politics, but they’re even worse whiners than the liberals.

Tom W | 1/19/2007, 5:54 pm EST

For many, the Confederate flaag represents independence and sovereignty, not the ugly things some people take it to mean or use it to mean. Yes, the Nuge is a bombast and full of himself (and he hasn’t written a new lick since 1973) and can say ridiculous things. But in the Nuge’s worldview, everyone should be left alone to live their lives (I don’t think I agree with him about immigrants though). I can’t say the same for all the rotten Demopublicans who want to regulate every asdpect of our lives. Ron Paul for President!

DrJ | 1/19/2007, 5:55 pm EST

I saw Ted Nugent at the New York State Fair in 2006. My friend, a fan, was extremely irritated by his incredibly stupid right wing remarks (example: playing a lame guitar solo and saying “you can’t do this in France,” to which the intelligent people in the audience responded “ummm…yes you can.” Personally, I thought his unintentionally funny political commentary was a welcome distraction from his crappy songs.
So, to those offended at the governor’s bash, I say it could’ve been worse; you could’ve had to listen to lousy music all evening.

Lobsters | 1/19/2007, 6:00 pm EST

Kind of interesting all the rules Lefties expect everybody to follow. So what if you don’t like what kind of shirt some guy wears? You’re no different from anybody on the Right. Except that you’re wrong about everything, I mean. Quit bitching and listen to “Stranglehold” – Ted is The Greatest.

nugent_is_a_has-been | 1/19/2007, 6:09 pm EST

Who the hell cares what Nugent does? He’s been washed-up since the 70’s and wasn’t that good during. They can yank that stupid tv show with him on it while they’re at it…it’s a waste of time, just like pay_n_pray shows and home shopping bullshit.

Bob | 1/19/2007, 6:23 pm EST

Awesome.

rhubarb | 1/19/2007, 6:27 pm EST

Ted who?

B | 1/19/2007, 6:34 pm EST

Come on now no one could see what was going to happen if he was invited to a stiff party where the people are more concerned with THEIR public image then what Ted’s going to say. I may not agree at all with his choice of attire or his ramblings but come on who ever said ‘the Nuge’ was going to be tame. Free speech is free speech no matter who utters their personal worldview.

Frankie | 1/19/2007, 6:37 pm EST

Nugent, personally, is an arrogant psuedo-intellectual dick. But he rocks, except for anything past the Free For All album…

PK Austin | 1/19/2007, 6:42 pm EST

As an Austin-ite, let me be the first to say it is the only liberal city in TX. As for Perry having a racist moron playing at his inauguration party (surprised the KKK was not serving drinks on the backs of latinos), well, it is no surprise. This guy is about as reliable as Bush in the LET DOWN catagory.

john | 1/19/2007, 6:47 pm EST

hahah its not like any of the people that he insulted can undertand him…haha No hablo english senoir…if you live in this country and refuse to learn our language..get the fuck out..who in their right mind could disagree with that…

Hulka | 1/19/2007, 6:49 pm EST

This never would have happened if they’d elected Kinky Friedman instead. And to think people were worried about the Kinkster being too offensive…

likroper.com | 1/19/2007, 6:57 pm EST

ted nugent’s a maniac geetar player who helped make 1970s rock badder-asser, he is not a diplomat…

Grand | 1/19/2007, 7:01 pm EST

Let me be the first to say that Austin is not the only liberal city in Texas, it may be the Greenest city in Texas, but there are many cities in the state where the leadership is primarily Democrats. There are also other cities, like Denton, with liberal arts colleges that have vibrant art and music scenes similar to Austin, only smaller in scale.

No one should be surprised that Governor Slick Hair would invite a racist to his inauguration. He has to appease his base.

jcjohnson63 | 1/19/2007, 7:14 pm EST

it’s ted nugent, people!what else would you expect? he’s been a hasbeen for so long this is the only kind of press he knows how to get.no one buys his albums.does he still make albums?

John | 1/19/2007, 7:15 pm EST

So much for artistic freedom. What a bunch of hypocrites.

likroper.com | 1/19/2007, 7:29 pm EST

during democratically-controlled eras ted is uncool; but during republican-controlled eras; ted is cool…the political pendulum may swing to and fro, but i remain in the center unfazed…

ted is ted; he’s one of a kind…

Rock God | 1/19/2007, 7:51 pm EST

The NUGE rocks. Texas is a bubch of pussies.

slumlord | 1/19/2007, 8:14 pm EST

Teddy will be Teddy
For you Demos who seem to have forgotten about OUR GENERATION, He’s just telling it like he see’s it.
What’s wrong with rock & roll, hating the man, sex and drugs?
Isn’t it hard enough getting out of bed every morning, woried about life and the pursuit of happiness, and not caring about how Teddy acts? I say, bring it on Teddy, make people think!! Life could and would be different with or without you. BUT bring on rock baby, it makes me HAPPY!! See you next concert.

Douglas | 1/19/2007, 8:47 pm EST

Thank God in whom I trust for people like Ted who have the guts to express how they feel to prove we all still have that right. As for the none English speaking people If they want to be Americans put them in the military, where they will have to learn English,be toilet trained not to stand on the seats and miss the mark, spend two or more years in Iraq. Then they have earned citizenship!

asdf | 1/19/2007, 8:57 pm EST

Nugent is a tool who wrote mediocre songs and is now just a nut basket.

Nuggetbreath | 1/19/2007, 9:43 pm EST

What did the gov expect when he invites an ignorant ego pumped racist redneck shoot ‘em cowboy idiot who can’t play quitar worth a crap or write a good song. The only reason he ever got popular was because of all the other redneck racists who can’t get thier minds around anything better than the stupid rantings of a person like “The Nuge”. The Gov got what he asked for so I don’t know why he’s complaining. Also, all this ramble about free speech is sensless – He isn’t being censored, no one has said Ted Nugent can’t do his silly perfomance anymore, they’re just whinning about how they didn’t like it, which isn’t suprising because he sucks! So I ask – what did the Gov expect? Something other than what he got? DUH!

likroper.com | 1/19/2007, 10:12 pm EST

excuse me nuggetbreath; cat scratch fever – great white buffalo – wang dang sweet poontang – free for all & dog eat dog are all great songs, and YOU KN0W IT!…

yooper | 1/19/2007, 10:20 pm EST

It would have probably been a really boring party if he wouldn’t have been there.

busko-86 | 1/19/2007, 10:31 pm EST

ted is a sick twisted fuckwit… friend of the governor? birds of the same feather….

Skullfreak | 1/19/2007, 10:34 pm EST

Who cares?

If you don’t speak English, go the fuq home….

Ender | 1/19/2007, 10:43 pm EST

wang dang sweet poontang
Best Song Name Ever.

midevil | 1/19/2007, 10:44 pm EST

I like his old stuff. Dude’s entitled to his opinion–freedom of speech. Just like millions hate and millions love Bush–freedom of opinion.

Lobsters | 1/19/2007, 11:32 pm EST

Yeah, you guys are right – Ted’s a wimp. But Beck and David Byrne KICK ASS!!

pat | 1/19/2007, 11:49 pm EST

typical republicans. can dish it out but can’t take it. besides this is what the republican party stands for – they don’t like blacks, women, hispanics, asians, etc., and when they get called on it they whine. I don’t actually care that they say it I would just like them to admit that it’s really what they believe. and the confederate flag symbolizes racism.
just admit it.

Hoyle | 1/20/2007, 12:11 am EST

Not a big Nuge fan but this is typical lib politics…anytime you pansys see a confederate flag you scream racism (obviously you know nothing about history). Fuckin’ yanks.

be | 1/20/2007, 12:25 am EST

Lobster your first comment had nothing to do with anything, no one said the Deadly Tedly was a “quote-un-quote” wimp. you brought that out of left field man, and I wish i could say it surprises me, but like all Republicans who are faced with their own shortcomings and clearly wrong, they lash out at, and try to draw attention to their opponents perceived short comings instead of admitting they themselves could be wrong. Yes Beck and David Byrne aren’t the most, physically imposing outspoken rebels like the Nuge, but who the f cares, no one is talking about who plays the democratic inaugural parties except you. Besides, Beck is a genius and one of the most amazing musicians of our time. so have fun enjoying your precious republicans self implosion, I know I will be….

CGEffect | 1/20/2007, 1:10 am EST

Governor Slick Hair and Ted Nugent? Together? Love to have heard those one on one coversations.

And also…..

Go take a nap, Skullfreak! Just b/c you lost your job to a guy who cannot speak a word of English doesn’t mean you should be all up in arms towards him. Be pissed at the employer who passed on you.

NugeIsGod | 1/20/2007, 2:06 am EST

Fuck you all that have a problem with the nuge he is a god. Whoever it was that said he can’t play guitar should pull their head out of their ass. The nuge has some classic songs and has so many more that just fuckin great. He believes what he believes and if you have a problem with that, TO FUCKIN BAD. Did you ever stop and think HHHHMMMM maybe he is right. Why don’t those non english speaking fucks go back to their own country and live there instead of coming to our country and fucking it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jadalina | 1/20/2007, 4:45 am EST

I think its freakin HILARIOUS! It’s like when those idiots hired Rosanne Barr to sing the National Anthem at some ball game and she spat and grabbed her crotch at the end. What did they expect? Man I’m looking all over the net for video of ole Ted losin his mind at a stuffed shirt inagural ball, lol!

Independence from what? Sovereignty to do what?

Perhaps the Civil War was a mistake. Maybe we should just go ahead and divide America now. You can have your south, your slaves (just try to keep ‘em), your guns and nascar, your nitwit pop and country singers, your teenage moms and your gowdang chris-t-anity.

But don’t you dare try to immigrate to New York or Chicago.

Really, the south has been nothing more than one long tax burden for the North to bear since the dawn of the 20th Century. Given this nation’s extraordinary budget deficit, I think we should all make like the good free market capitolists we are, and cut the fat. Hand the south it’s pink slip.

fred | 1/20/2007, 2:16 pm EST

This is some of the most retarded shit I have ever read and I feel dumber for having read it. To Tom W, I especially feel enlightened by your overgeneralized stereotypical view of the South.

casper | 1/20/2007, 2:25 pm EST

Ted Nugent is a genius. I have long revered the poetry that spews out of his mouth.

Ted Nugent | 1/20/2007, 2:35 pm EST

Marvel at my guitar wizardry and superior intellect.

Arthur Corningwaddle | 1/20/2007, 2:46 pm EST

Ladies and Gentlemen, the American Civil War was about secession, not slavery. Slavery was truly terrible, and a mistake that shall never be repeated again. One of Jefferson Davis’s first goals was to get rid of slavery. And just because one southerner (he’s not even southern, he is from Detroit!) said some stupid stuff does not mean we all watch nascar, like country music and wear mullets. Some of the greatest technological advancements ever (NASA, anyone?) came from the American deep South. And most music would not exist if it was not for the South. And what has the North done recently, except for you know, have some of the highest crime rates in the country and complain about the South?

I am stupid | 1/20/2007, 2:47 pm EST

yeah the South is dumb. We should throw it in the ocean. Long live the North, the real America. The South is just a giant burden filled with rednecks.

God | 1/20/2007, 2:52 pm EST

Ted Nugent, your chops are incredible. As for your intelligence, thou art on the same level as W.

Petty officer 2nd class | 1/20/2007, 3:21 pm EST

Ted nugent is one of the greatest guitarists ever to exist. all you that think he sucks are just pussies and i would like to see you do better. as for ted, fuck yes, machine guns and the confederate flag. the way it should be. anyone who has a problem with texas can come to me

Mike27 | 1/20/2007, 3:28 pm EST

Dear redneck south – you lost the war – get over it.

I know none of you southerners will understand that, seeing as how I didnt start and end my post with “yee haw” or talk about god, or mention that gay people are evil.

God | 1/20/2007, 3:34 pm EST

Gay people are not evil Mike, but you are. Burn in the fires of hell. Yee haw.

Ali baba | 1/20/2007, 4:26 pm EST

Hey now!
Freedom of speech is freedom of speech is freedom of speech. Ted is allowed to be a right wing gun-toting xenophobe…and we are allowed to write to RS.com and say that he makes us puke.
Cheers from Canada

RickStark79 | 1/20/2007, 5:05 pm EST

So let me get this straight — people are offended by his stupid remarks and actions, but not by his horrible horrible songs!?! He should’ve hung up his guitar after ‘Journey To The Center Of The Mind’

Hey CHUCK! Read This!! | 1/20/2007, 5:17 pm EST

Chuck,

Go take a short walk off a shorter pier. The north is the best. The south sucks ass. Hillbillies, rednecks, narrow minded haters. Oh, and Christians. Ooooooh, they’re so Godly. With their total, unwavering support of the jackass in the Oval ofice who’s sending their kids to die because he’s not half as smart as his daddy who knew Iraq was no country to go trying to take over. Great decision, voting that half wit in. Congratulations on electing him TWICE! Morons. Go quail hunting with Dick Cheney, and make sure he’s had a few so that his aim is perfect once again.

Cat Scratch F*%ker | 1/20/2007, 5:33 pm EST

Nugent is the worst of the worst of what this country has to offer. A shallow, loud mouthed, moron spewing psuedo-patriotic nonsense laced with fear and idiocy while the rest of the world watches in utter disbelief. His appearances on the Fox News Channel in his cliche camouflage hunting gear and whiskery soul strip (reminiscent of the Stripe the evil one from the movie “Gremlins”) are laughable. However, the fact that a sitting governor would be stupid enough to have this guy play at a sanctioned gubernatorial event is even more ridiculous. These two were meant for each other. “Perry & Nugent: The Duo Of Dunces Tour ‘07!” Take it on the road boys, I’m sure it’ll play well south of the mason-dixon line! Yeeeeeehaaaaawwww!!!

yeaaaaaaastan | 1/20/2007, 5:47 pm EST

when did nugent ever matter? oh… right… abour 25 years ago when music was even shitter than it is today. I hope nugent dies with a black cock in his mouth and a confederate flag soaked in AIDS-ridden gizzum covering his wrinkly body.

john | 1/20/2007, 5:59 pm EST

will you morons stop using the phrase “bush is SENDING our kids to die”..Bush is not SENDING anyone..they have all signed up on their own free will… I love how liberals are all about freedom of speech..yet they crucify Ted Nugent over his beliefs…If Ted doesn’t like illegal immigrants that is his right…liberals claim to be SOO open minded, but they are the absolute most close minded people in this country…if you say ANYTHING that goes agaisnt what they believe, they will come after you…

yeaaaaaaastan | 1/20/2007, 6:19 pm EST

you should go to school where there is a coastline… culture is attracted to the sea. It would do you some good.

TruthMonger | 1/20/2007, 7:25 pm EST

Re: “Shouting Offensive Remarks About Non-English Speakers”…”

Got proof?

According to TedNugent.com and Ted himself, Mrs. Nugent sent a letter to the editor of the Waco Tribune Thursday…

A blurb “Nugent offends at inaugural” appeared on the front page of the January 19, 2007 Waco Tribune that criticized Ted Nugent’s performance, clothing and “alleged offensive remarks about non-English speakers” at Governor Rick Perry’s inaugural celebration. As Waco’s front-running newspaper it is your responsibility to report facts, not allegations. I was in attendance that night and saw a very different show, one where black tie attendees danced and sang along with Ted during his PG-13 performance, which yielded praise from Governor Perry and his family, as well as Mary Wilson of the Supremes, who also performed that night. I videotaped the entire concert and have proof that Ted never insulted non-English speaking Americans, as the Tribune reported. What he did say was that he was proud that Governor Perry had been re-elected and that he was proud to be a “Texan”. It’s a shame that you prefer to print slanderous, erroneous attacks on people and fail to report the truth.
– Shemane Nugent

Right | 1/20/2007, 7:50 pm EST

I definitely believe Ted and his wife over everyone else. They are such great folks. Real civilized and whatnot.

Blehhhh.

Chuck | 1/20/2007, 8:22 pm EST

Dear Ignorant People,
Why do you think all of us in the South voted for the President? As a matter of fact, I do not even slightly support the president. I think war is an awful thing, and should be avoided at all costs. And by the way, the original story was about a Northern guy saying some stupid and ignorant stuff, not Rolling Stone asking if you are an ignoramus and hate and stereotype the South. And as far as you slamming Christians, we are 80% of the country, so laugh it up all you want, but we run the country. Enjoy!

yodumassmama | 1/20/2007, 8:42 pm EST

Liberals are the most hypocritical condescending a-holes on the face of the earth. Anyone who lives in a rural area is a redneck, gun toting, racist. And anyone who doesn’t agree with their narrow minded views is a right wing wacko. They will never change so save your breath. Just be glad they only account for 20% (or less) of the population. Most are uneducated, self taught, under-achievers who surround themselves with like minded persons so they never have to have an actual discussion.

Lobsters | 1/20/2007, 9:16 pm EST

What we have is an excellent example of everything stupid and embarassing about America today. Being a Conservative is no different from being a Liberal – It’s all just sitting on your ass and being ugly about people. Same thing with this idiocy about the North and the South. If The Dixie Chicks had been invited to perform at that function we’d be having the exact same dumb ass argument.
I just want to make a little money, pack up, and go live in . . . No, I’m better off if you assholes don’t know.

Huh? | 1/20/2007, 9:23 pm EST

Yeah, liberals are self-taught neophytes–nothing more than communist rubes, really–and George W. Bush is a genius because he went to Yale. Uh-huh. Welcome to planet “Delusional.” :)

plo | 1/20/2007, 9:36 pm EST

Teds a piece of shit. Always has been. Wish I could go Ted hunting….that would be fun.

Shawn | 1/20/2007, 9:51 pm EST

I think the best community service you could do is make fun of southerners. Although I know we are reducing them to a stereotype, hopefully those in the south who do not fit the southern stereotype will start speaking out and maybe put the smack down on their fellow citizens.

You want to change our perception of the south, then follow David Cross’s lead. Don’t be a redneck. Show some interest in the world outside your driveway.

For the record, I make fun of everyone I think is stupid. And I’m a republican.

OK | 1/20/2007, 9:54 pm EST

The Nuge is a retard! Its unfortunate that he is a southerner nevertheless. Most Southerners are good people, some are ignorant but its the same as everywhere else in the world.

north vs. south | 1/20/2007, 10:20 pm EST

Who are you kidding. Some of you moronic southerners and northerners get all excited when you hear a-holes like Nugent speak in strong black and white terms. It makes your scary little worlds seem more simple. Just like Religion does. The world is complicated. Why don’t you look at what is really effecting your life. It’s not Ted Nugent, or flags or immigrants. The game is rigged, and the rules aren’t in your favor. WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!

AllMeNArECreaTeD= | 1/20/2007, 10:47 pm EST

Lousy racist just like all the republicans who never took freedom of religion seriously, go take your extremest religion somewhere else along with your racist opinions, freedom of speech does not mean you can insult whoever you want, there’s a limit.

yodumassmama | 1/20/2007, 10:50 pm EST

Huh? just proves my point about the libs…..Do i make any claims to the effect that anyone, (LET ALONE W.) is a genius because they had an Ivy League (or any secondary)education ?? An education DOES help. Crital thinking is something that most libs lack, and Huh? is the perfect example.

Leslie | 1/20/2007, 11:54 pm EST

I think it was pretty inappropriate for Nugent to be behaving like that.

Jackie | 1/21/2007, 12:32 am EST

You are all fools its people like Ted that keep this country going unlike the week fools as yourselves its a shame you dont vallue your American heratige more wait till some non english speaking forener takes your job you all should just move to IRAC and become American haters like the rest of the punk ass comunist non Americans that cry like bitches about the war if your all so bad why dont you run for Presidant or better yet go fight , you dont have the balls so shut the fuck up

Critical Thinking | 1/21/2007, 12:40 am EST

“yodumassmama” displays 1) a brilliant demonstration of failing to think critically and 2) deep, deep hypocrisy. Read his comments and laugh.
Oh yeah… Nuge is free to say what he wants. And everyone else is free to castigate him for saying stupid things.

leighton | 1/21/2007, 12:46 am EST

I’m a southern Latino, from Texas to be exact. Everything expressed in this article does not show any one doing anything offensive. 1) I’m a son of an immigrant, my family speaks English, and I see no problem with someone mocking fake immigrants that are too lazy to assimilate and learn the language. 2) The only people that think the Confederate flag represents anything but southern pride (the same pride shared by blacks, browns, whites, Democrats, and Republicans) are either Californians, or ignorant Northerners who have nothing better to do than give false labels based on ignorant assumptions. 3) Any one who thinks a machine gun prop was offensive needs to grow a backbone. 4) Any Texan who thinks any of this stuff was offensive needs to get the heck out of Texas!

Ted Nugent? Doing something completely red-neck? NO WAY!

Colin Liddell | 1/21/2007, 4:27 am EST

As usual the media say one thing and the people say another. This is PC inflation and that currency has become devalued. OK, Ted’s into White pride and doesn’t want to see America change too much. Most people whatever their race can’t see much wrong with that. Just the media stirring the ****.

hillwomp | 1/21/2007, 6:05 am EST

Ted Nugent is a Republican brand, like Fox News, so what’s the news here? Malcolm X got it right 40+ years ago: You can trust southern asshole rednecks more than elitest northern liberals because they at least have the guts to wear their racism and hatred on their anti-christean sleeves.

mike d | 1/21/2007, 9:29 am EST

Ted is not too bright sometim

Kill'em All | 1/21/2007, 10:23 am EST

I’m with Jackie and Leighton!! You all need to get out. I get the same grief for wearing my swastika. It ain’t nothing but pride in my German heritage. This is a white Christian country. If you don’t like it… f*** off! The Nuge should lead the cleansing!!

Live Free | 1/21/2007, 11:12 am EST

Jackie your ancestors fought for the rights of everyone, including Blacks? Then I guess they fought for the Union against the Confederates, right? The Confederates certainly weren’t fighting for the rights of Blacks.
The Confederate flag no more represents “freedom” or “heritage” then the Nazi flag represents “freedom” and “heritage”.
If you wear a Confederate flag or a Nazi swaztika you are aligning yourself with what they “fought” for. Confederates killed American soldiers who fought under the American flag. Anyone who kills an Amercian soldier with an American flag on his uniform doesn’t deserve respect. If you want to wear something that represents “freedom” wear an American flag. If you don’t support the American flag, then leave the country. Go fight for the Taliban.

Fred | 1/21/2007, 11:21 am EST

Obviously, Ted Nugent supports killing soldiers of The United States of America. He believes if you fly the Stars and Stripes you are the enemy! There is NO other reason to wear a confederate flag. He can make whatever excuses he wants, but the fact is the confederate army killed U.S. soldiers. Rock on Taliban Ted!!

Marcy | 1/21/2007, 11:24 am EST

Taliban Ted! Taliban Ted! Taliban Ted! I love that!!! He should be known as that from now on!!! :)

Archimedes | 1/21/2007, 11:27 am EST

as for the question at the end there, probably a bit of both. i mean c’mon, its the Nuge’ were you expecting ice-capades or what? and besides, its fuckin Texas for christ’s sake. i thought they were tough, i though they had balls. this silly pc wining is something you’d expect from Vermont or Seattle, not fuckin Texas. who cares if Nugent doesn’t like “non-English speakers”, i bet he isn’t the only one. and besides, as long as he played Cat Scratch Fever or Stranglehold, who cares what he says.

egg_head | 1/21/2007, 11:39 am EST

taliban ted just likes to kill things. a US flag or a 10 point rack… just trophies.

DD Kelly | 1/21/2007, 12:01 pm EST

you gotta remember Ted has issues. on that vh1 show SuperGroup he got all offended when one of the guys was taking pictures of his bikini clad wife. here’s a guy who has no problem running around in a loincloth in front of an audience of mostly 13 year old boys, but girls in bikinis “turn him off”.
plus he “dated” a 15 year old girl when he was a grown man.
the dude just has a lot of issues about his sexuality and his manhood. the guy is a total overcompensator. don’t bash him, just ignore him.

Jake Burns | 1/21/2007, 12:22 pm EST

Did it take all of this to realize that Ted is a moron? I am a high school government teacher and I tell my students that the 1st Amendment protects what is popular AND unpopular. What Ted says IS protected and legal, it’s just dumb. Ted also is not a true southerner. He lived in Michigan until age 16 and then moved to Palatine, Illinois and graduated from the same high school that I did (St. Viator). The teachers there did not like to talk about him. It seems that his ignorance has been a life long choice.

fsafwea | 1/21/2007, 12:33 pm EST

Ted owns ALOT of guns, handles these guns daily, fires the guns daily, and masturbates to the guns daily. Maybe one day, he’ll suffer a gun accident and rid us of his constant stupidity.

SoulMonkey | 1/21/2007, 12:52 pm EST

Yeah, Nuge is an idiot becasue he doesn’t drink, smoke, take drugs, loves his country, is involved in his political beliefs, has guts enough to stand his ground on issues, says what a lot of people wouldn’t dare in fear of left wing persecution, wants English to remain the offical language of the country, etc. Yeah he’s a real asshole.

John | 1/21/2007, 1:50 pm EST

The southern soldiers that fought against ‘Americans’ during The Civil War were also ‘Americans’, fighting under the flag they hoped would live forever. Just because someone wants to honor an ancestor who supported the decision of his fellow statesmen 150 years ago, doesn’t mean they don’t deserve respect today. Besides, what’s wrong with 2 American flags? I’d rather see 2 American flags than an Italian or Mexican flag. Peace

RKelly | 1/21/2007, 2:19 pm EST

This is dumb. I’m gonna pee on you.

Ole1kanobe | 1/21/2007, 2:32 pm EST

Only in the ‘land of the free’ could you be bashed for having your own opinion. Heaven forbid to go against what everyone else thinks or is doing.
Wake up people, this is still America. If you don’t like it, find a more controling country that supports only your views to call home.

RICH | 1/21/2007, 3:17 pm EST

Ted’s a good old boy. just expressing his believes of gun’s ,freedom, the south, and his politic’s . I think the politition that invited him should not have expected anything less.

yeaaaaaaastan | 1/21/2007, 3:21 pm EST

i hope ted nugent dies from sodomizing himself with an aids-infested confederate flag.

gayterade | 1/21/2007, 3:25 pm EST

freedom of speech means ted can say whatever he wants and not go to jail. it doesn’t mean we can’t call him an ignorant red-neck gun freak along with anyone else who also wishes to express such opinions.

By the way, that confederate flag you southerners call “tradition” i call my masturbation towel. I gizz on it. you know why? bc it should be treason to display it on anything.

May jesus bless you all.

catkiller07 | 1/21/2007, 3:26 pm EST

Why dont you whiney little basturds get off Red Teds ass ? Agree or disagree who the f*** cares. This isnt 1864, and we all know what that rag of a flag stands for these days..and if I see your ass sport’n a confederate flag i will shove it so farup ur racist ass your eyes will be red and blue.

Randy | 1/21/2007, 3:46 pm EST

If “the Nuge” were to have taken up drugs and communism and overdosed after one album, he’d be on posters and every other shirt you saw show up at the polls and the scantly educated liberals would still be mourning him 20 years after his demise. They would be writing his name in for president. I’m not a redneck, but do understand the “type” this refers to. There are uneducated “types” of all color, religion and region. Having a broad appreciation for music from Enya and Elton John to Led Zepplin and Tool, I’ve seen Ted about 5 times in concert and nobody rocks their ass off during long sets like Ted does. He knows how hard people work for their ticket money and humbly returns the favor. He knows more English and how to use it than 98% of any American. He enjoys the 1st ammendment as well as the second, which protects the 1st and all the others. He loves to hunt, yes. We wouldn’t be here today if man didn’t learn that. What he eats is fresher and healthier than what the rest of us are buying off the doctored, mass-murdered butcher shelves. Who cares how many guns one has as long as he or she is responsible with them? I’ll bet his guns haven’t killed any unborn fetuses, but that’s ok for those who aren’t in control of their own dicks or pussies and go on creating unwanted babies like they don’t know how it works or are too stoned to care of the consequences. I’m pissed off too about illegal immigration and that the past several presidents haven’t done anything about it. The terrorists could be driving semi’s under the southern border. I believe if Mexicans hadn’t been disarmed, they could have already had their own cival war (which we had to have to be where we are today)and they could have set-up Mexico where they wouldn’t want to escape the paradise it could have been. I just wish you had to take a IQ test before you could vote on anything, anywhere. The ignorant or ill-informed can do so much damage at the polls. I believe Ted is probably right most of the time if you listen to the COMPLETE ARGUMENT! Most of the attacks against him on this thread are purely because the attacker knows he’s not liberal like they are. They don’t even know what he said or did, but act like they were there. I don’t agree politically with many artists I listen to but then again, I think most are seriously on drugs and only go on what makes them feel good, not what necessarily makes sense. I believe in innocent, non-violent life. If you came here to hurt me or my family, I keep weapons of all sorts to eliminate you from the gene pool.

anti-skeptic | 1/21/2007, 4:08 pm EST

Ted Nugent may be making correct arguments but whats suspicious is the amount of venom he focusses on selective issues ? Gun control, abortion, racial assimilation etc are all issues but only certain groups would suggest that these are critical issues, namely white christian males. I mean why not discuss healthcare or education and for that matter why not make some decent music for a change ?

ljs with love... | 1/21/2007, 4:40 pm EST

hey redneck randy-

i wouldn’t exactly say that having the right to have a gun ensures protection of the first and all other amendments… and i quote–”He enjoys the 1st ammendment as well as the second, which protects the 1st and all the others.” that’s a pretty ignorant statement to make. guns need to be regulated with a little more care–some dumb asshole running around with a gun doesn’t make me feel any more safe. infact, it’s those same dumb assholes that usually end up being shot because they whip out the gun they have no idea how to use (carry and conceal) to “defend” themselves from some other dude with a gun. hooray for guns!

Max Buzz | 1/21/2007, 4:42 pm EST

Years back, Ted played back-up guitar for Dolly Parton on The Mike Douglas Show. It’s impossible to take him seriously since.

fsafwea | 1/21/2007, 5:09 pm EST

Randy:

Liberal or conservative, a vast majority of the population can agree that a zealous person like Ted is…well, to put it bluntly, a dipshit. Sure, he can spew racist rants and wear that flag all he wants. It doesn’t validate him. As for his points being correct if you “listen to the complete arguement”, this is the guy who advocated shooting all criminals, regardless of their crime. I guess the kid who steals a CD deserves a bullet in the head. Yep, that Ted is a top-notch guy.

Fred | 1/21/2007, 5:42 pm EST

Hey Randy, you are the definition of a redneck! That rant made no sense. Saying that Ted enjoys the 1st and 2nd Amendment is really stupid considering he was wearing a Confederate flag. Do you see the irony there Einstein?
I also loved the “I bet his guns didn’t kill any unborn fetuses” statement. Whaaa? LOL. That’s not even relevant to the conversation.
Anyone who wears a Confederate flag is supporting a regime that took up arms against the United States of America. Regardless of whether they were Americans, they were traitors to the United States. Timothy McVeigh is an American, but he’s still a murderer and a traitor.
Taliban Ted can own all the guns he wants. He can hunt all he wants. I got no problem with that.
The problem is showing support for a racist, traitorist regime that killed hundreds of thousands of U.S. soldiers and enslaved thousands and thousands of Africans. General Lee makes Osama Bin Laden look like a novice.
And I don’t see how Ted making “offensive remarks about non-English speakers” has any positive influence on the problem of illegal immigration. It’s just spreading hate. Most sensible people know immigration is a problem, but most sensible people also know the majority of these immigrants are fleeing poverty. Yes, something has to be done to fix the system, but spewing hate at the Mexicans isn’t the answer.
Taliban Ted is a racist a-hole who supports killing U.S. soldiers. That’s not my opinion, that’s just a fact as plain as the shirt on his back.

THINK! | 1/21/2007, 6:06 pm EST

People, the American Civil War was about states rights, not secession. Nowhere, in all of the states statements that they were going to secede, did it mention slavery. The South wanted a smaller national government with larger regional governments. As a matter of fact Jefferson Davis, who was the first and only president of the Confederacy, wanted to get rid of slavery. So Fred, because it appears that you do not like traitors, what do you think about a little guy named George Washington? The Confederate Flag does not represent slavery, which was awful, and a mistake that should never be repeated again, it represents not wanting a large central government that controls everything (which a couple of old dead white dudes called the founding fathers did not want either). Get a history lesson Fred. It might do you some good.

THINK! | 1/21/2007, 6:08 pm EST

In my first sentence I actually meant to say: The American Civil war was fought over the power of individual states, not slavery. My bad

Fred | 1/21/2007, 6:35 pm EST

Think!, the Civil War was about slavery. I guess to some degree the right to own slaves was a “states rights” issue if you believe that a State should have the right to enslave people without Federal interference. You should read a little about the Missouri Compromise and the Compromise of 1850 and how the question of the expansion of slavery was a major issue.
I don’t have any interest in giving you a history lesson, but make no mistake, the secession of the southern states was all about slavery… despite what revisionist apologists like yourself want to put forth now. “States Rights”…. yeah right. Keep lying to yourself. Its what racist Confederate sympathisers do.

Japman | 1/21/2007, 6:41 pm EST

Ted is from the same cloth as hypocritical white nationalists all over. I betcha he could care less about the Conf flag if it didnt carry a racist connotation. He is a pussy who is afraid of coming out and saying whats really on his mind. Why ? Even if he came out and said “send the n*****s back to the cotton fields” its not like they would take away his bow and arrows..the 1st and 2nd amendments would still protect him.
Even in the days of segregation they would never come out and say what they really meant, there was always a roundabout justification to get what they wanted.

Live Free | 1/21/2007, 7:38 pm EST

Taliban Ted has the right to do and say whatever he wants within the law. But face it he’s a complete mess. He’s one of those “staunch” conservatives who just happens to be a pedophile, draft dodger, divorced, has cheated on his current wife and had a kid out of wedlock. Not to mention made his fortune running around in a loincloth in front of 14 year old boys singing about having his girl in a “Stranglehold”. A real “family values” guy. So why be surprised when he makes a fool of himself and his host?

THINK! | 1/21/2007, 7:41 pm EST

Come on Fred,
If the Civil War was about slavery why did they pick 1861? I do not seem to recall Honest Abe passing any regulations on slavery in that particular year.(Missouri Comprimise-1820. Comprimise of 1850-1850) And this is not new information that I am bringing forth. It has been around for about 140 years. And maybe you could clear this up for me, but looking at the facts makes you a racist? And a Confederate sympathiser? Wow, way to stereotype! Please think for about three seconds. Just try it. You might like it.

THINK! | 1/21/2007, 8:23 pm EST

I’m not going to argue this anymore. You are not going to change your view, and I am not going to change mine. And I am pretty sure both of us have better things to do instead of arguing on music sites. And how did it go from Ted Nugent to the start of the Civil War? You can argue all you want, but your arguements will fall upon deaf ears. Peace

Fred | 1/21/2007, 8:39 pm EST

Think! is not a good name for you. If the Civil War was not about slavery, why were all 11 secessionist states slave states? Not one free-state wanted “States Rights”… how strange.
“Why did they pick 1861″… they didn’t. 1861 was merely the year previous events came to a head (with the election of Abe Lincoln). The Compromise of 1850 and its fugitive slave laws, the Nebraska-Kansas Act in 1854 and the resulting rise of militant abolishonist like John Brown in 1856, and the Dread Scott decision in 1857. By 1860 things were at a head between free states and slave states. With the unacceptable election of Abe Lincoln in 1861 (”why did they pick 1861?”, duh) who opposed the expansion of slavery, the southern slave state suceded. The treasonist Confederate forces then started the Civil War by attacking Fort Sumter killing U.S. soldiers.
Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclimation in 1862 freeing the some 4 million slaves being held in the Confederate states.
And oh, by the way, your wrong about Jefferson Davis too. He believed slavery was sanctioned by God. And his VP Alexander Stephens said slavery was the “cornerstone of the south” and that “the negro is not equal to the white man” and that his “subordination to the superior race was his natural condition”.
So yeah, keep on believing the Confederates were racist traitors. Your ignorance is truly staggering, but typical of your ilk.

straight pope | 1/21/2007, 10:27 pm EST

It’s amazing how quickly conservatives will preach to the next guy about how to live his life. As a group their own behavior is nothing but un-Christ-like. Also, the video of this incident would have been a smash youtube a la G Allen.

Question of the day:

How come black people are allowed to be racist (and no one makes a big deal out of it, frankly no one cares) but when white people come off as racist the NAACP steps in and starts blabbin about reparations this and confederate flag that?

I live in Detroit and here black people yell out the n-word and call white people whitey and cracker or whatever they do on a regular basis several times a day.

Heres an idea black people.., practice what you preach. If we can’t call you colored or nig, then you can’t call us cracker or red-neck.

This is still America isn’t it, or have we lost our right to free speech before the nasty “North American Union” (NAU) has been fully implemented? Wake up America! Educate yourself and stand up against the NAU. RON PAUL for 2008 PRESIDENT!

Kliffee | 1/22/2007, 3:31 pm EST

ahh…Ted Mutant…another reason to be embarrased of being American and White. Thanks Teddy!

Robyn | 1/22/2007, 3:50 pm EST

I am proud to be white and American, and I would not EXPECT or DEMAND when in another country, that they speak English. The very idea that people here believe we should cater to other languages and not honor this country’s native tongue is incredible.

Kliffee | 1/22/2007, 4:05 pm EST

aww robyn, now you gave me a 3rd reason to embarrased to be white and american.
did you say ‘native tongue’.
I don’t believe the native tongue of this land is english. no, it think you’re an entire continent off. This land’s native language is spanish and dozens upon dozens of native indian languages. get your self-righteous racism straight.
Now go speak spanish!

yeehaw | 1/22/2007, 4:15 pm EST

You’re right Robyn. White jesus freaks should be the only people allowed in this country. I understand Spanish better than whatever language you and Nugent speak. NAU, what a joke. Don’t you understand that you have a lot more in common with immigrants than you do the CEO’s and politicians making the rules that you live by. Wake Up!!!!

Kliffee | 1/22/2007, 4:22 pm EST

I’m with you! Robyn, sweetie, it’s called h-i-s-t-o-r-y. Try studying it. The native tongue of this land was Choctaw, Cherokee, Apache, and a host of other tribes we slaughtered. We whites haven’t been real big fans of the “off white” skin tone over the years. Black, brown, yellow, red. Occasionally we go after our own color, but we’re much better at rallying the troops for a nice “kill the different people” party. At least we’re pretty consistent.

Robyn | 1/22/2007, 4:41 pm EST

since the forming of the United States, the official language in schools, business, etc. has been English. “Native” was the wrong word…sorry my bad. I’m all for LEGAL immigration. Wish we had some people with REAL integrity running this country instead of NWO puppets.

President Of The United States | 1/22/2007, 4:48 pm EST

My fellow Americans,

I logged on to the world wide nets this morning and was trubled by what I hurd had accurd in Texas. Wow, that kinda rhymes! He, he, he. Hurd, accurd. There’s kurds in Iraq too! I’m a poet, and I’m not even aware. He, he, he. Anyway, I’ve always loved rock and roll music, especially the Beach Boys and, REO Speedwagon. “I hurd it from a frend who hurd it from a frend who…” Man, that’s a good one! Anyhow, I figger that Ted Nugget owes eryone a apology for not fokusin his hate more on a evil doers instead of my Hispanish brothers. “Hola, chimicshangas, uh, como estado unido, frijole?” They know what I’m sayin’. In fact, Alberto Gonzales, my attorney colonel of the US law offices of…uh, laws, is a hispaniard. So I work with one of ‘em. I support divver-city. And they’re aight people. They, uh, you know, they work hard. And cheap. Laura used to pay this Guatamanian lady four dollars a week to watch the twins, and uh, she was grateful for it. She’d buy a couple tamales or churros and feed her seven kids for two or three days at a time. It warmed my heart to know we cood help er and our uther naybors to the north. So, in conclooding, I’d like to say that I suhpport Ted Muppet even though he’s racivist. I buhleeve, like Rodney Luther King Jr. said, “We can’t all get along, so why bother tryin’?” He, he, he. Aright. Uh, this is President Me of the country I live in sayin, “Adios and God Bless los estados burritos.”

Maybe you’re the one that should go to a comedy club and learn to appreciate the lighter side of life. If Rolling Stone sucks so bad, why don’t you go over to Foxnews.com I’m sure you’d be welcome with open arms.

Ted Nugent is an ignoble fellow.

lik roper | 1/23/2007, 10:47 pm EST

that was a very ignoble comment…

Huh? | 1/24/2007, 4:56 pm EST

yodumassmama:

You said: Huh? just proves my point about the libs…..Do i make any claims to the effect that anyone, (LET ALONE W.) is a genius because they had an Ivy League (or any secondary)education ?? An education DOES help. Crital thinking is something that most libs lack, and Huh? is the perfect example

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my stupid comment. Now, let me respond to yours. First, I know you didn’t say anything about George W. Bush being a genius. However, you did imply that he was at least intelligent when you said all liberals are essentially idiots. In fact, you not only implied that Bush was smart by making such a claim, but you also implied that all conservatives are smarter than liberals. Also, I fail to see how my “claim” proves your “point” when you didn’t have much of a “point” to prove in the first place.

Personally, I don’t give two shits what you and the rest of your ilk believe. Go build a fucking shrine to the neocons; I don’t care. Just don’t expect everyone to agree with you.

Well, I feel kind of dirty even responding to you. So, goodbye. It’s been fun.

geoff | 1/24/2007, 6:38 pm EST

everyone who called good old uncle ted Taliban Ted YOU ARE OUT OF YOUR MIND i went to see him in concert and this is what i saw. ted comes out play the star spangled banner afer that he sling the guitar back pulls out a bow and arrow and shoots a figure of saddam this guy loves america, shows it unlike liberal scum, and has a higher IQ then anyone who posted anything.GO TED

Ted Fan | 1/24/2007, 7:53 pm EST

I have to agree with Geoff. I too have seen his concerts and he brings out the American flag. He also preaches ‘to stand up for what you belive’ and is not afraid to do so himself! You have to give him respect for that. I’ve been a nugent fan ever since I can remember, he’s always been my favorite. If you listen to his music, not just on the radio, such as ‘bound and gagged’ of nugent 1982 and ‘fred bear’ and ’spirit of the wild’ self titled CD 1995 shows his political views and his respect for wildlife. He is far from a nut! And for the bloggers who called him ‘taliban ted’ F”’ YOU!!! Go back and smoke your crack pipe! obviously you have no idea what he is all about.

A Spaceman | 2/1/2007, 1:39 pm EST

What a fanny.

Dr. Ralph | 3/28/2007, 9:26 am EST

So when the Dixie Sluts spout moronic political ideals and are criticized they get Grammys, but when Terrible Ted does it he’s an idiot? Sorry but freedom of speech is a two way street. Living in Tennessee I can tell you the Confederate flag is about more than racism. In fact it is more of a North vs. South thing than a black vs. white thing. Fortunately RS is providing us with a forum to express any and all sides of the story. Freedom of speech lives…

austin | 4/2/2007, 11:02 pm EST

All the “Dixie Sluts” did was say that they embarrassed that Bush is from Texas. So Ralph, your retarded ass argument falls flat when you compare what they said with Ted’s racist rants.

Dr. Ralph | 4/4/2007, 12:21 pm EST

I’m still trying to figure out what’s racist about making fun of retards who live in a country but can’t speak the language. Maybe that damn flag is racist? Whatever… Slavery existed in the north and south so maybe both flags are racist.

US sucks | 8/24/2007, 10:54 pm EST

Reading this shit really confirms my belief that the United States is full of self-centred, right wing, pompous, mouthy bigots that can’t accept the fact that they’re goin’ down… and soon! Go fuck yourselves, Republican America!

FuckYou | 8/26/2007, 1:01 pm EST

“”Reading this shit really confirms my belief that the United States is full of self-centred, right wing, pompous, mouthy bigots that can’t accept the fact that they’re goin’ down… and soon! Go fuck yourselves, Republican America!”"

Clifford p Bartrum jr | 9/1/2008, 6:38 am EST

i would like to say to everyone first i am from michigan and i am ashamed of ted nugents behavior he is rediculas and does not share the same views as my fellow michiganders do . his rants are just that i give him about as much attention as a flea on a dogs ass. he talks about our freedoms but wont actualy deffend them , he is a discrace . he has a couple of good songs but thats it. he couldnt handle living in michigan any more so he tucked his tail and ran to crawford texas. i think he feels that he is the only one fit to walk the earth.its sad he cant even practice what he preaches.he can threaten any body he wants but when somebody does it to him he wants them locked up?he cant even debate any issue becouse he is like ann coulter he makes stuff up and when asked about something he doesnt even hit the mark.take it from me friends we in michigan have heard this a- hole spew his hatred alot longer than most of you and we let him rant and rave becouse hes like a child throwing a tantrum. every band he ever belonged to split up becouse of his mouth. ill bet his hunting store stocks not made in america products. how un american can you get. his music is cool but he is a rotten excuse for human being .

Satyrn | 7/21/2009, 12:03 pm EST

Ted is proud of America – North AND South; he doesn’t abhor symbols simply because society tells him to.

And to the person who said the Ted “makes stuff up”, I guess you didn’t see how he handled Maher & Boosler (”Oy!”) on gun control. He laid down the facts and could not be refuted. Boosler was forced to concede defeat by quipping “In your neighborhood you bring guns to each others homes. In mine, we bring casseroles.” Pure emotion.

When you get caught speaking with your emotions rather than your brain, THAT’S when Uncle Ted enters the fray. The Confederate flag stood for rebellion against an oppressive North. Just because some Klan yahoo’s started waving it in the 60’s and outraged blacks trump it up as a White supremacy symbol for all time, doesn’t “ruin it for all of us.”

Take your kindergarten logic/punishment elsewhere.
