Entire Galaxy Preps for “American Idol” Season Six Tonight!

Thank you, Lord. After months of waiting for the next season of American Idol to kick into gear, our nights will no longer be sad little Simon-free shells of their former selves. Season Six of A.I. officially starts tonight with a two-hour special on Fox, airing at 8 P.M. EST. What can we expect? Jessica Shaw’s Entertainment Weekly cover story last week summed it up well:

  • There’s no obvious front-runner as yet
  • The people who showed up for auditions were even crappier/wackier than in seasons past
  • A new songwriting competition will be introduced to determine the winning single
  • Macca might finally be a guest judge
  • Simon still refuses to take his mood-stabilizers

The article was published before this happened, which is likely why there was no special category for addled Paula antics. We can’t. Effing. Wait.

YWTG’sR does have a valid point about Fantasia, but I listen to music I don’t watch it. Meatloaf would have never sold an album if we had to watch. This is prime time for American Idol. When they choose their top ten or twelve or whatever the crap they do now you can turn it off. This is what made it popular, Simon ruining the lives of idiots who actually believe they have talent but are completely tone deaf. I love it when they cry, that’s reality! Go home/you suck/looooooser….

I want to say that I really like the way Simon handles all the losers, geeks, and dorks that thought anyone would love their deathly gurgling and squeaky vocal abilities. Simon does not screw around, and he has no trouble throwing out the trash! So what if he “hurts” some feelings? And that little weasle with bugged-out eyeballs does look like a Bush-baby! Simon rules, and Paula still dreams of having his “love-child” while Randy just tries to get a little love for himself! Actually, I would love to give Paula a “love-child” any time she is ready! She’s kind of HOT!!!
