If this movie is going to be based on the “Heavier Than Heaven” book, it will be a total loss. Has anyone read the book “Love& Death?” I would suggest those of you who think Kurt killed himself to do some researching. Just the thought of Courtney having anything to do with this movie turns my stomach! Every one knows that Courtney is going to make herself look like such a PATSY in this movie.
Anyway, definitely Joe Anderson as Kurt, and Arianne Zucker (Nicole on days of our lives) would make a perfect Courtney Love. Zucker’s role on “Days of our Lives” remind me of Courtney so much.

The best choice for an actor to play Cobain is probably the one anyone would last think of. Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill is tailor-made for this role! He is extremely talented and this would be the perfect vehicle for him to break out of the troubled-pretty-boy-with- a-hea rt-of-gold stigma that he’s been stuck with on The WB (or whatever it’s called now). Also, all he would have to do physically is grow his hair and not shave.

I Agree, this SHOULD be an art film, but odds are it won’t be. I’d go and see the movie anyways just to see how much stuff they lie about. This film definately needs to focus more away from Kurt & Courtney and more on Kurt. But with Courtney Love at the helm Kurt will probably be made out to be a piece of sh*t. But here’s who I think should play the parts…
1. Kurt Cobain– `Edward Furlong.`
He’s the right age, has the right type of body and imagine him with long bleached long hair and a five O’clock shadow.
2. Dave Grohl– `Scott Patrick Green.` Scott is an actor who played a part in Gus van saunts Last Days. He played one of blakes rocker friends and has the right look and attitude for the part.
3. Courtney Love– ‘Brittney Murphy.` I am convinced that she would be the absolute PERFECT person for this part, esspecially after seeing her in 8 mile.
4. Krist Novaselic– `Ashton Kutcher.` If you think about it, Ashton could really pull off the krist novoselic role rather well. I believe he would be great for this part and this would further highlight his talents as an actor.
This film has the potential to be a really great film but it’s all up to whoevers making it. The filmakers should have people from various grunge bands like the melvins as consultants to ensure that the film keeps its genuine devotion. Micheal Pitt should definitely play Kurt. Before I could adequately cast the movie, I’d really need to know which characters the script would include. However, since I don’t, this is how I would cast at least three of the roles:

What the fuck? Wasn’t the first movie about Kurt’s life enough? Last Days was a great film, even if the main character was only an image of Kurt- it still got the point across. He was a super sensetive muscian, with a bad drug problem, a family and band to support, and he knew he was becoming a cliche.

Now, with this new movie (and as one write up already has stated), they will make all included in the short and brilliant life of Nirvana and Kurt into angels. Lets look at it…

1)He was a junkie. He and Love shot up with a kid on the way. they shot up after the kid was born. Ideal parents, I say not!

2)He was, by most accounts, an asshole to people. Only the ones close to him liked him.

3)Courtney can keep her hands off Kurt’s estate. She needs more money for a new face job. Just scrap the current look completey. Then hit the junk again.

Kurt must be rolling in his grave. One of the few that gave the fuck you to America Corp. Now, because of his cowardly act of suicide, he is not around to make sure no movie would be made of his life.

Besides, if your going to make movies about people who where against the money and the biz- lets do one on Syd Barrett. Fuck Cobain (even though I love ya)- he has gotten enough press over the past 14 years. For a career that only spanned 3 years. Nirvana was not the begin and end all. They were, after all, just a loud kick ass band.

I don’t care who plays them, but they better include a scene depicting the MTV movie awards when Kurt slowdanced with Eddie Vedder backstage during Clapton’s Tears in Heaven.

It would be interesting if it was done right, but Hollywood would give it too much of the standard issue glamour treatment. I can’t ever recalling any rock movie made after the fact that accurately caught the time it was supposed to be depicting. In a way I guess I hope it doesn’t get made. Let anyone who wants to know about the band find out their own way.

I also considered DiCaprio as Cobain, which is odd. I didn’t notice their physical similarities previously. He is muscular, though. Kurt was emaciated.

I would also green light Dominic Monaghan. In contrast to his fellow LoTR cast mate, he would probably play Cobain better than Elijah Wood will play Iggy Pop.

I would cast Lindsey Lohan or Brittany Murphy as Love. Lohan’s acting abilities are dubious. I would tell her to play herself.

I think Britney Murphay would be a good courtney…Kurt is hard. Best one I’ve read so far is ryan gosling and even Leo Decaprio (think Basketball Diaries…perfect.) But, in actuallity, I think both roles should be no namers with talent. It would make the movie better without seeing some super star play a loser that’s dealing with not being a loser.

Larry Clark should direct it-photographically I think he could do it justice-no weird sex stuff tho…
