No doubt someone will say I’ve been living in a cave for not knowing much about this, but here goes… Pete Doherty??? I understand he’s in a band called the Libertines (or was)? I’ve never once heard anything from this band at all, yet this guy has been anointed as the greatest thing since I don’t know when. Am I missing something here? Unlike the know-it-all’s out there, I’ve never been afraid to ask for help when necessary, so to anyone and everyone out there… I REALLY NEED A CLUE THIS TIME ROUND.

Well Rope,it’s funny because Britney claims she’s ready for a comeback,but her winding,wine sipping(five plus shots at that)road always leaves a bad taste in her career’s mouth.Even worse Paris is basically playing an irresponsible mentor to her like she’s being supportive.So to quote the late,great Mr. Morrison:(to Britney and Paris)”You people are a bunch of f***ing idiots!”

Matter of fact,you know how like in the biopic “The Temptations” when David Ruffin intended on becoming a standout of the group(obviously because of his borderline ego and that he took advantage of his newfound fame,he was supposed to at least be sharing with the group)that he hooked up with a “buddy” of his and began making himself the “star” and trying to wreak havoc(snorting cocaine,showing up at meetings,recording sessions,etc. late,and tring to tarnish the popularity of The Temps)?That’s Britney and Paris(not to say Britney will end up like David Ruffin-God forbid).

cheesecrop, Doherty was indeed in Libertines. The band issued a couple strong albums that while inconsistant showed serious promise. Obviously, the band broke up and one of the principals went on to Dirty Pretty Things (a great band whose album Waterloo to Anywhere is worth checking out). Doherty formed Babyshambles which also shows promise but is terribly inconsistant as well. Doherty is unable to control his drug use and has been arrested numerous times in the last year on drug related charges. Classic case of someone with alot of talent, flushing it down the toilet due to personal problems that manifest themselves in massive drug use. It will be surprising if he lives must longer at this rate.
