- Lily Allen is the female Robbie Williams: loved around the world but ignored in America. The adorable pop tart with an acid tongue will start recording her follow-up to Alright, Still in the new year. Will her sophomore effort finally break her in America? Will she appear at this summer’s Coachella, Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo? Will she ever return my phone calls?
- American Idol winner Taylor Hicks will take his schtick on tour in 2007. The gray-haired crooner will start his tour of small venues in February, but will eventually end with him doing dinner theater in the middle of nowhere.
- Permanent Me, who have been tapped to open the highly anticipated Fall Out Boy and New Found Glory tour, have posted their debut album, After the Room Clears, online at Pure Volume. The album drops on January 23rd via Stolen Transmission Records. The buzz band will also head out on a headlining tour on February 7th with Cartel, Cobra Starship and Boys Like Girls.
- Puffy Daddy may still be cringing because Sean John was selling hoodies made from puppies or something like that, but he still gets mad love from Christina Aguilera. The queen of pop music, whose Back to Basics was the diva record of 2006, showered the music mogul and girlfriend Kim Porter with a huge gift basket after they welcomed twins into the world on December 21st. Me thinks Xtina has babies on her mind.
- It’s easy to hate on Bob Seger, especially seeing as Kid Rock is his most vocal fan and he is responsible for "Like A Rock." Ignoring the negative and highlighting the positive ("Night Moves," "We’ve Got Tonight"), Seger’s upcoming tour has sold out Madison Square Garden and arenas around the country. He’ll be recording the final two of his four huge hometown shows at Detroit’s Palace of Auburn Hills for another sure-to-be brilliant live album. Now go and buy "Live Bullet" and rock out with your bad self.
