Why does everyone kep saying they make fun of Nickelback? The first time I saw them, they were opening up for Nickelback. Why would they make fun of them? Ya’ll are stupid, and, by the way, they don’t sound like Nickelback OR Buckcherry.

I think Hinder is a great band. You people are talking bad about “hair” bands. Let me say one thing, Poison and Motley Crue are STILL two of the BIGGEST selling acts out there-20 plus years later!!!!!! Where the hell will most of these new bands be in 5 years, let alone 20 plus……. To all of you who don’t like Hinder, GET A LIFE!!! They ROCK!!!!

Cody congrats you have brought your dream to a reality. I always knew that you would reach your dream. I am still kind of shocked to here your music on the radio but I am not suprized. You meant to bring out the heart of rock in your music and you did just that. Its not an accident that your music is real Rock. That was your plan all along and although the critics are in denial they secretly admire Hinder for having the guts to stand out of the crowd and write music from the heart instead of going with the popular flow.

Why is Hinder running around like they’re such badass “rock stars”? I just previewed a bit of their album and I wish I could take that minute and a half back. Their sound is about five years too late…..God I REALLY wish I could get that minute and a half back.

I don’t understand why people compare them to Nickelback. They don’t sound like Nickelback. They sound like Buckcherry.

Remember when RS was a music magazine, and not a pop-culture vulture for regurgitated feces? I do, but only barely. Hinder can die for all I care, but at least one of them admits to his being gay. I think he left out the part about his desired anal sex being with the other band members, though.

This band among many others today is nothing more than a modern version of the “hair bands” of the 80’s. They look so cute in their “rockstar” outfits and frosted-tip hairdos. Add a little glitter, sequence, and some spandex and you have another Warrant. Bands like this make me sick! Hopefully their shelflife will be similar to the hairbands - 2-3 years and then gone. Thank god I don’t listen to the radio or watch videos anymore so I don’t have to see these losers all the time. Metal up your ass!

I’m won’t lie, Nickelback has some good songs. They also have a lot of songs one would call “dreck” or “rubbish,” but Hinder just makes my skin crawl with how overrought and predictable they are.

Hinder encompass all that is wrong with mainstream rock…moreso than Fall Out Boy and the like. I don’t like Fall Out Boy or (especially) Panic! at the Disco, but Hinder makes those groups look great. Hinder is just awful…the vocals are horrible, the music is so over-the-top it’s laughable, and the lyrics…they don’t even deserve being mentioned. There’s a reason 80’s metal died out and is now the butt of jokes: people realized how truly misogynistic, arrogant, and just plain dumb they were. Since these groups seem to be Hinder’s influences, hopefully the same thing will happen to them.

When I first read about Hinder (in RS), they were made to seem like a band who makes fun of Nicelback, and sounds like old school GnR and Aerosmith. When I first heard “Lips of an Angel” I couldn’t believe this is who they were talking about. They don’t sound QUITE like Nickelback- more of a parody of them; the singing is more off-key and over-the-top to the point of sounding silly, and the lyrics are veen cornier than people used to sing in the 80s. A lot of people seem to like them though but this is one band that is obviously not listening to its “influences”
