- Check out this lovely acoustic performance of “The Clock” by Thom Yorke. Even Yorke solo-work haters have to dig the moody purple/blue lighting situation.
- Is Nu Metal finally old? After the release of Staind’s singles package — The Singles: 1996-2006 — the band is apparently taking a break. “You’ve got to let all the build-up from being on tour and playing the same songs over and over again go away and have a clean slate to start over with so we don’t repeat ourselves,” explained frontman Aaron Lewis. An argument used by generations of rockers officially entering has-been status.
- Clipse offer you the chance to make a vague impression on the hip-hop community via a 30 second guest appearance on an upcoming Clipse mixtape We Got It 4 Cheap Vol. 3. The Spirit of Competition. Hurry up with the homespun rhymes, you’ve only got ’till December 20th to submit.
- Britney Spears is finally old enough to rent a car, still BFF with Paris.
- Live Nation even more of a terrifyingly powerful corporate money-making machine than it was last week. The company’s stock is up 7.5 percent.
- Yes, there seems to be few causes Bruce Springsteen does not support but that doesn’t make his appearance at The Seventh Annual Light of Day show any less cool. Check out the images here.
- Jay-Z’s whirlwind seven shows in seven cities in seventeen hours stunt is inspiring copycats. The Black Eyed Peas and Scissor Sisters are among a collection of bands taking part in a global New Year’s celebration involving five New Year’s parties across the world starting in Hong Kong and ending in New York. The event will “travel” in concept but the artists will not, making this distinctly lame.

Yes, they do exist. I personally love the Rollins Show appearance more.(Sounds like a great blues song) It refreshing to, you know… actually see him play something without a computer or wierd boops and beeps. Radiohead and Yorke are at thier best when they don’t SHUN rock music but also don’t placate to being a radio friendly band. All the wacked out computers and stuff is ok at times but its ok to make songs that have great melody and have guitars. Playing the guitar doesn’t make you a sellout and playing computers doesn’t make you a genious.

Thom Yorke needs “singing lessons”?
Banjo | 12/6/2006, 11:28 am EST
Their shouldn’t be Thom Yorke “haters”. Radiohead rules. but his solo album was soooo boring! like he pieced together leftovers from Amnesiac but cut out all the good parts
