Slayer

  • Slayer have announced a winter 2007 tour, with Unearth as their opening act. Word is that the band’s European shows have been amazing. Dates after the jump.
  • Big Boi’s divulges all kinds of details re: his new “mega-top-top-secret solo record.” We can apparently expect “something from every genre, every funk, beat, loop, horn, whistle” the rapper explains about the as-of-yet-untitled album out sometime in 2007.
  • The long-awaited title for Fall Out Boy’s new album is Infinity on High. Wentz reportedly told MTV News: “It’s taken from a quote by Vincent van Gogh. And as for what that means in relation to the record, we’ll just let it will unfold when people hear it.” It’s all so exciting.
  • Apparently Albert Hammond Jr. is going to be opening for Incubus on a North American tour. Weird.
  • Matisyahu will reportedly release a holiday album/DVD combo No Place To Be on December 26th. The CD will apparently feature not one but two versions of “Message in a Bottle.”
  • You know how when you go shopping at Nordstrom you’re always wishing you could buy Marvin Gaye’s Anthology along with your high-heeled Manolo hiking boots? Now you can. The department stores are going to be carrying music by artists like the Killers, Beck and Feist beginning next year.

Word is that Slayer’s shows have been amazing for 20 years now. The Unholy Alliance tour was one of the best of the summer, hands down.

Rolling Stone, give up about talking metal news you fail miserably at it.
FYI, the photo you put features drummer Paul Bostaph who quit the band 4 years ago.
Legendary Drummer Dave Lombardo came back to the fold metal n00bs !

Please do me a favor and never mention “Fall Out Boy” and “Slayer” in the same article ever again. Even if their tour buses hit eachother, let the headline read “Slayer Tour Bus Hits Other Band.”

Slayer eats Fall Out Gays for breakfast and fart like girls.

That’s funny how millionaire metal guys always try to look pissed off in their pictures. If you’re alwyas so angry just kill yourself and give me your millions. Phonies.

Thank you for listening and putting up a more recent picture.

Grunge then tried to defile the Metal, but metal was in the way
Punk-rock tried to destroy the metal, but metal was much to strong
Rollingstone tried to de-file the metal, but Rollingstone was proven wrong
Yea! … YEAH!!!

I dont know which is worse, a cookie monster band or a band that loves metrosexuality

Going just to see Albert then peacing out just before all the frat boys jump in for Incubus. God why is he touring with them of all bands

Bec | 11/16/2006, 8:38 am EST

Not all Incubus fans are frat boys. I looked…I happen to be FEMALE. And I don’t just like the band for Brandon’s looks either…
Quit insulting stuff you know nothing about, Rolling Stone. Incubus is the reason Linkin Park even made an album, even got themselves a DJ.

The photo made me laugh. After a shoot, these tough guys probably go watch Spongebob and make macrame projects.
