- When we saw the first images of Jay-Z’s new album cover we were like “hmm, very serious and kinda formal.” We should have had faith. Turns out the album cover contains a hologram and who doesn’t love a hologram? We even like Jem and the Holograms. Kingdom Come reportedly contains three discs (get the reported track listing after the jump). Disc 1 is, apparently, the new album. Disc 2 includes three re-recorded tracks from Reasonable Doubt, including new verses (!?) and a re-working of “Can’t Knock the Hustle” featuring Beyonce instead of Mary J. Disc 3 contains a DVD. - DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince to reunite? Even briefly? For, like, just a sec? Maybe. British tabloid The Sun is reporting that Jazzy Jeff will announce a reunion tour later this month at a DJ gig in Wales. “The rappers have decided to dust off their bling for a tour called Boom! Shake The Land” the article reports, claiming the tour will begin next year.
- Looks like Chris Cornell’s track “You Know My Name” will be the theme song for the new James Bond flick, Casino Royale. Surely somebody cares about this news.
- Marianne Faithfull has beaten breast cancer, her rep reportedly said, and plans to resume the world tour she postponed when she was diagnosed.
- Listen to the new Young Jeezy song, appropriately titled “J.E.E.Z.Y.” We prefer this make-everything -seem-like-an-acronym thing better than J.T.’s predilection to leave out spaces. You?
