Playlist of the Day: Somebody Stop Madge

11/3/06, 8:00 am EST

As you can probably glean from our previous coverage, we’re hella disturbed by this whole “Madonna’s adopting more babies for her Kabbalah army” trend. We can appreciate the underlying good that Madge is trying to do, but we’re not altogether sure she’s going about it the right way. It’s like, get a hobby, ya know? Anyhaps, since it’s all we’ve been able to think about for the last two weeks or whatever, we’ve decided to make a playlist out of it in the hopes of purging the whole mess from our consciousness permanently. Wanna help?

  • “Black Market Baby,” Tom Waits
  • “There Goes My Baby,” Otis Redding
  • “Cradle Of Love,” Billy Idol
  • “Baby Love,” Diana Ross and the Supremes
  • “Beautiful Boy,” John Lennon

Man a lying tramp and cheating jerk like Angelina and Brad can adopt babies from every country and ignore the problems that we the people who pay them their salaries are going through, but Madge gets attacked?
None of us know the details? Remember when Angaline adopted her 2? Did we know about it a year in advance? No it was announced once the babes were home. The media really loves to play on the mass stupidity of the public!!

I really don’t see why she’s the villain here. Love her or hate her, a kid’’s getting a good life thanks to her…I think that should be enough. However, I do agree she should have kept it quieter. It makes everything seem calculated and publicity-seeking, although that’s clearly not why she adopted the boy.

When will people realize that Madonna’s not seeking attention by adopting?! The media pounced on the story b/c Madonna sells magazines/papers, period! Stop your judging! Madonna’s helping people. What have you done for the good of the world/society lately? Probably nothing if you’re so consumed w/ what other people are doing…

Maybe Madonna should look around the US for children to adopt. She was a child of a motherless family, but there are plenty of children here in the states that have no families at all. All this adoption overseas is well and good, but when they can put their moneys toward a goal at home, it would make OUR COUNTRY a better place. We worry about the starving and broken in other countries, but there are so many families here in the states that have nothing…I just think she could have chose a child that grew up like I did.

charliemapleton | 11/4/2006, 1:05 pm EST

Even though I can’t blame her for her compassion and faith for God’s children, but man, this is the most hustlin’ baby mama i’ve ever seen(besides being one of the finest)!

Tytti | 11/5/2006, 5:09 am EST

Why can’t we just help by charity work? It’s a lot easier than taking away all of the children you know…

Hi: Here’s what I uploaded to my internet radio stream (search above):

“Papa Don’t Preach”~Madonna
“God Bless The Child”~Billie Holiday
“It’s A Family Affair”~Sly & The Family Stone

…Even when Madonna does a good thing, she gets grief for it…Can everyone give it a rest already? The family photograph is a classic though, like an Avedon or a Leibovitz….Stay Tuned! Best Regards! ~JBK

Critics, all with nothing important to say here at all. I applaud Madonna for this one. She has done a positive thing here. The public honestly eats up the media’s B.S. Pretty pathetic people. I bet not one of the critics on here shaming Madonna has sponsored a child in need, or is a foster parent themselves. What on earth can the majority of these petty twats possibly say that has any life experience on parenting…or should I say responsible parenting? I support Madonna.
