Some may feel this concept of turning one’s iPod into a Ouija board is suitable only for Halloween and other spooky occasions. But for the inner goth in us all, now is always the right time to get in touch with the spirit world. Let your deceased great aunt play Echo & the Bunnymen for you if she wants to. We don’t have one of the fancy cool new iPod’s with Click Wheel technology (it has something to do with the wheel clicking) but we’re totally organizing a Rolling Stone slumber party in which we attempt to contact the ghosts of some of our favorite dead rock stars. We think Nico would have us play Giant Drag, the Kings of Leon, and all the songs supposedly written about her (Jackson Browne’s “These Days,” Dylan’s “I’ll Keep It With Mine,” and The Velvet Underground’s “I’ll Be Your Mirror,” for starters.) What would deceased rockstars contacted via iPod’s Ouija technology play for you?
