In response to your comments Chris about album sales. The reason artists get coverage in music magazines is because the goal in is to write about and promote music that is “good”, or at least music that music journalists think is good, popularity should come second. Also, just because you can’t sell albums doesn’t mean you can’t sell magazines, people love to read about celebrities especially ones that they hate!

I`m still amazed at how much media coverage courtney gets considering the fact her last CD, the ironically titled America`s Sweetheart, sold only 86,000 copies according to Nielsen soundscan. The exact same people will buy her new CD, give or take a thousand, and that won`t be enough to make it a hit. She`s not attracting any new, younger audience.
