
- Michael Jackson plans to come out of hiding long enough to receive the Diamond Award (for selling more than 100 million albums) at the World Music Awards on November 15th in London. Lindsay Lohan will (inexplicably) be hosting.
- We’re really bored with the notion that Chick Rock is different from Rock Rock, but that doesn’t keep this Girl Monster box set from sounding rather awesome. With the Raincoats and Siouxsie Sioux alongside Le Tigre and Bjork we’re in, but we’re not wearing any babydoll dresses, k?
- Why is it so freaking hard to enter the U.S. from Canada? Vancouver-based group You Say Party We Say Die was apparently refused entry into the U.S. for various reasons amounting to imperfectly filled-out paperwork and lots of rules.
- Hanson seek to tell many a band’s story of Battle With the Label in Hanson’s new DVD documentary Strong Enough to Break about the attempted major-label release their 2004 album Underneath.
- It comes as a surprise to no anyone who saw this performance that the critics hate The Times They Are A-Changin’ aka “the Dylan musical.” The quicker this chapter ends the better for everyone. Especially the guy in suspenders pretending to play the acoustic guitar.
