Are you fucking kidding me! AFI for alumni, no college kid listens to that shit! How bout Sonic Youth, they should be winning an award like that. And Angels and Airwaves, are you shitting me!

Trance | 10/26/2006, 4:20 pm EST

kind of sad, except for the subways

Chuck | 10/26/2006, 4:31 pm EST

Gorillaz…that’s a given…but I agree the rest is kinda sad. Gnarls is good, but not quite “most original”. Oh well..Soon MtvU will only play reality shows too.

Veddy Eddar | 10/26/2006, 4:55 pm EST

Why is there a pic of TV on the Radio if they didn’t win? Did they perform?

Those bands that won (mostly) all suck and prove that even mtvU has no idea what’s going on in colleges. A song about the Armenian Genocide wins an award for social awareness? Sorry guys, but that genocide happend during WW I. How about a song that addresses a problem of, I don’t know, the last fifty years?

I got to college.. Do u think I could get a woodie someday. Maybe if I’m a good little boy.

What?? Angels & Airwaves getting best new Artist. They sound just like Blink 182, just with new members!

You Think!! | 10/26/2006, 9:45 pm EST

Hei..why don’t they sing ’bout Bush and his pals Saddam and Osama!!??? LOL
Now THATS “ORIGINALE” LOL

Jake | 10/27/2006, 12:06 am EST

Well, now I can never listen to any of those bands again. Thanks alot, MTV, you’ve managed to ruin a bunch of bands that I liked all over again.

Michael | 10/27/2006, 3:10 pm EST

“Return To Cookie Mountain” is the most popular album on college campuses/radio stations.

These awards are full of it…

steve | 10/28/2006, 1:43 am EST

wes24 | 10/28/2006, 2:19 pm EST

Nick James | 10/29/2006, 11:13 am EST

TV on the Radio? Mars Volta? Thom Yorke? Beck? The Streets? How about The Knife? It’s time to grow some balls MTV!

jesus h. christ | 10/29/2006, 7:18 pm EST
