
- After sifting through the pages of quotes available from Madonna’s interview with Oprah (set to air this afternoon) we discovered a few interesting developments, such as Madonna claiming that “there are no adoption laws in Malawi,” that the rules were generally ad hoc and that when she met David “he had survived malaria and tuberculosis, and no one from his extended family had visited him” at the orphanage. But ultimately, we’re just a bit over this drama. It seems, truly, like everyone (including Yohane Banda who is, reportedly, not going to contest the adoption) is trying to act in the best interest of this child, so that’s good enough, yeah?
- Janet Jackson’s big flop of a comeback album 20 Y.O., has reportedly caused her boyfriend, producer Jermaine Dupri, to be forced out of his job at Virgin Records.
- Bassist Mikey Way reports that he suffered such a crippling bout of depression during the recording of My Chem’s Welcome to the Black Parade that the band nearly didn’t finish the record, and in fact almost caused the band to break up.
