Justin Timberlake has decided to fuse his love of sexiness and his love of, er, backpacks into one pun-friendly — and self-promoting — enterprise. Apparently the dude harbors serious affection for Ful backpacks, which are made in his hometown of Memphis. So much so that he has invested in the company, which will be honoring Timbz with a special “JT” line so-named just for him — sorta like those Duff sisters and their Blue Cult jeans. Until now the only rock star we’d seen rocking a backpack was David Byrne, so we guess JT is in good company? But aside from the endlessly entertaining wordplay this venture has inspired, there is something sorta lame about this little marketing scheme.
