Comment of the Day: Stodgy Europeans Ban Beck

10/5/06, 11:42 am EST

DonkeyTron, you are an amusing individual. We posted about the U.K. chart-makers discriminating against Beck’s little sticker project. You commented:

“Jeez, and I thought the Europeans were so progressive and enlightened. An album with stickers is still an album. What about the Beatles record with the cutouts? I’ll bet dollars to donuts THAT album charted in England. Cheerio.”

You saying “Cheerio” makes us think about Cheerios and now we’re hungry, so thanks. But yeah, good call on Sgt. Pepper, the record did originally come with a page of cut-outs and, as far as we know, this was not considered to be an unfair advantage.

Gosh, I’m honored, Rolling Stone. It’s nice to know that folks as cool as yourselves think I’m amusing.

Thanks so much. Love ya!
