“Weird Al” Yankovic: Not One to Neglect the Details

9/28/06, 6:27 pm EST

Our intrepid photo editor was (totally slacking off) and watching the really amusing Weird Al video for his genius track “White and Nerdy” when she noticed that the Trivial Pursuit card he holds up has actual questions on it. And they are freaking hysterical.

  • In what city is the largest ball of twine built by one man?
  • What’s the deal with Lindsay Lohan? I mean, seriously?
  • FDR – was he faking it?
  • On what page does Harry Potter die in the next book?
  • What is the melting point of a gorilla’s head?
  • How many Wicket men are there on a 43-Man Squamish team?

UPDATE: Many thanks to Hulka who helped us decipher the last question via Wikipedia. Wikipedia is officially terrifying in its thoroughness.

“How many Wicket Men are there on a 43-Man Squamish team?” (It’s an old MAD magazine joke.)

Any FDR bit is always a classy choice.

The world’s largest ball of twine built by one man is in Darwin, MN, and it’s freakin’ awesome.

This version of the video doesn’t have an ad for a porn site on it.

I love Al. The man is brilliant. And incredibly well-mannered, I might add.

As a possessed FZ fan I really enjoyed the hell out of “Genius In France.”

Weird Al is one of the MOST TALENTED pop parodists around! I still think his “Smells Like Nirvana” was his best ever. :)

Who the hell let the nerds out. Are you guys really talking praising the man who brought us “eat it” ? I was ready to go to sleep until I read this, now I can’t stop laughing. BIT must be a relative of his. Thanks for my nights entertainment. It sure beat the Rob Zombie & Godsmack concert I just saw. Kidding nerds.

Craig | 9/30/2006, 10:32 am EST

you know godsmack and rob zombie both suck don’t you?

jdawgnoonan | 9/30/2006, 9:42 pm EST

Al has outlasted most of the artists from the 80s and for good reason.

I’m always interested in what songs Al parodies. Plus, he always has at least one polka number on every album.
