- Ms. Jackson has spoken out about her infamous wardrobe malfunction for the first time since she released that stock apology after the incident. She apparently told Oprah Winfrey that she’s sorry she apologized, since what happened was an accident. Can we stop talking about this yet?
- Our favorite work-pub-club-sleepers, the Rakes, are releasing a special vinyl remix package of four songs off Capture/Release, out in early October.
- The man who shot Proof in a Detroit nightclub has been convicted of two weapons charges. Authorities say he shot the rapper in lawful defense, and therefore no more substantial charges were brought.
- Bob Seger says one of the reasons it’s taken him more than ten years to release Face the Promise, his new record, is that he’s “never had a nanny.” Good thing we’ve had those “Like a Rock” GM commercials to keep us company over the years.
- More new old Nirvana releases. This time it’s that live DVD Live! Tonight! Sold Out!, which actually could be pretty cool. Perhaps you have the bootlegged Brazilian version and already know what’s on here, but we’re kinda psyched to check it out.
