Art Geeks Bring Axl To His Knees? Knees? Knees?

9/21/06, 4:42 pm EST

Axl Rose

We already knew Axl Rose was a victim: First Tommy Hilfiger gave him a black eye, then those hurtful Botox rumors…and now this! Rose’s lawyers claim the poor guy is being pushed around by vicious turtlenecked artsy types. An art broker who says he procured an Andy Warhol portrait of John Lennon for Rose is suing the rocker, claiming he has yet to receive the full $2.36 million Axl allegedly agreed to pay. The frontman apparently paid only $1.21 million, then claimed he didn’t have enough money. Rose’s alleged lawyer’s alleged reply: “It’s my opinion that Axl Rose is the victim of some fraud or misrepresentation here.” We find Rose’s hair to be fraudulent. Think the wig/scalp combo comes off all at once, like Kimberley’s on Melrose Place?

Ankur | 9/21/2006, 9:23 pm EST

A painting of John Lennon for over 2 million dollars? Thats fucking stupid. GIve that money to AIDS research.

RockGod | 9/21/2006, 10:36 pm EST

Rollingstone with yet another feeble attempt at spreading a fictious rumour of Axl Rose with high hopes of tarnishing the only person who is going to save rock n’roll. Once the new album drops and rollingstone does a press release, they will use their bi-polarism again when they praise the album. It may not be great Axl news but its sure better than the usual agulara/teeny pop/emo music rollingstone usually writes about.

Who cares about hair extensions and plastic surgary. What the fuck is up with the goat? That’s not rock. Beards or stuble, no in between shit.

@rtw@nker | 9/22/2006, 4:01 am EST

Good for him.

Kiko | 9/22/2006, 6:09 am EST

What is Rolling Stone’s problem with Axl? When his album hits this year, you’ll be singing his praises. The guy who wrote this is probably nothing but a syncophantic, backstabbing self-server.

Poor Axl!:(I hope he’ll be OK soon! It’s not fair! Why don’t they just stop to tell lies about him!?!What do they want?!To see him dead some day?!Well,I’m sorry, but that’s not gonna happen!!!Not ’til we,the best Axl’s fans will be around him and take care of him(even from so faraway, like Bulgaria)!
LONG LIVE AXL ROSE!!!

I havent seen GNR since 1991 and I will be seeing them at KROQs show on Saturday. Why would Axl worry about paying for some watercolor when he’ll be too busy melting the faces off of 18,000 fans with the strongest fucking rock in history!?

Ellen | 9/22/2006, 1:17 pm EST

Paxil Rose…what a silly man. I miss old Guns. I know it’s been said before, but this new shit is weeeaaaakkk.

majorpromotions | 9/22/2006, 3:48 pm EST

YA, I already think you are a dick cause my girl was so into you: WHATS UP WITH THAT WIG ? If you are a musician, show some product- all I see or hear of you is in some Paris Hilton like scene- get some balls- I’ve heard more of Steve Adler than you in the last decade- play some MUSIC!

1234 | 9/22/2006, 4:41 pm EST

Axl Rose is a loser, Rolling Stone is right for once, and you all need to learn how to spell!

Rock Luppino | 9/22/2006, 4:47 pm EST

Per Madonna’s response to her mock crucification; “I believe in my heart that if Jesus were alive today he would be doing the same thing.” Hey Madonna, if Jesus were alive today, I think his 1st reaction would be “Been there, done that, for free.” Now that’s a trendsetter girl.

Chad | 9/22/2006, 4:58 pm EST

Who the f@#k cares. Really. Surprise, Axl is low on funds, duh, try working and selling your product every once in a while. I am still pissed that he cut the concert short I attended back in the early 90’s. I know he has to have enough money in the bank to refund me and my wife for our tickets. So how about a refund, Axl? How about not seeing his name again until I get my refund, or he puts out another album. Chinese Democracy? Yeah, I know, I will probably have more success at my refund.

Jon | 9/22/2006, 5:04 pm EST

I’m sorry…did rock n’ roll need saving? If so, Axl Rose would be the last moron in the world to do so. He’ll be but a faint memory in those GNR fans that can’t get over the fact there will never be another GNR album.

Guido tar | 10/6/2006, 1:44 pm EST

I see no reason to take Axl serious anymore.
