Patterson Hood was singing some songs for the tribute show…R.E.M. came unannounced, the tribute show has been planned for a long time.

Boy do I hate how the Rolling Stone staff writes these childish pieces full of slang and terms of the moment. Lobsters is absolutely correct when correct a simple job. Writing like a reader or a kid on Myspace is not twee or hip. It is just unprofessional. Where are the editors for this site?

I was there. Right next to the monitor Michael stood on while conducting. The night was amazing. Alot of money was raised for a couple of local charities… I’m not sure which ones but I’m not the “journalist” here.
