Marianne Faithfull makes us swoon with a combination of awe, attraction, and fear, so we are very sorry to hear that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Apparently, the cancer was caught early, and Faithfull has an excellent chance of recovering fully. She has cancelled all scheduled dates, and in a statement released today said, “I have absolute faith and confidence in my fantastic medical team and of course I will be well again, if not better than ever” and even reached out to reassure her fans saying, “next year’s tour will be one big celebration.” We can’t wait. In the meantime: Broken English to be played on repeat for the foreseeable future.
