
- Just cuz Three 6 Mafia title a song “Let’s Start a Riot” doesn’t mean they want you to start one. Sheesh. A fan who was beaten by other crowd members during a live performance of the non-riot-inciting song is suing the band, who are requesting a dismissal.
- Sony BMG will release “Between the Covers,” a collection of covers by major artists. If for some unfathomable reason you feel the need to hear Tori Amos do “Smells Like Teen Spirit” again, September 12th is your chance.
- Lil Wayne and Juelz Santana will turn their mixtape collaboration “I Can’t Feel My Face” into a full-on record, out early next year.
- My Chem was forced to cancel two shows this weekend after drummer Bob Bryar was hospitalized due to complications resulting from the injuries he sustained at a video shoot several weeks back.
- MySpace music store is set to launch this fall. According to the New York Times, this makes the major labels feel all squirmy.
