Mos Def Throws Guerrilla Concert Outside VMA’s, Gets Arrested

9/1/06, 5:57 pm EST

Mos Def

Mos Def pulled the most rock and roll move of anybody last night at the VMA’s, but it didn’t make it onto the broadcast. Def rolled up to Radio City Music Hall on the back of a flatbed truck and started performing his politically charged tune “Katrina Clap,”  a condemnation of the Bush administration’s snails’-pace response to hurricane Katrina. The police weren’t having any of it, and arrested him mid-show, along with several members of his entourage. The rapper/actor was released early this morning the fracas may have just begun: Members of Def’s posse say they have video recordings of the entire drama.

When they live in the ghetto they want us all to live in the ghetto. This can be done in several ways, one of which is to move the ghetto outward.Another way is the drug crack and various creepy variations…ice…crystal meth in any form is deadly to humans and the planet…if someone tells you that they are not responsible for other peoples addiction, let them know, even without a word or movement, that you are wise to them….there is no high in personal irresponsibility but there is a response. No Asshole

Go watch the video on Youtube and check out what happened for yourself. You can get the Lyrics for the song if u look around the net. Mos should do a song that would get airplay on Mainstream radio and a video to go with it. Get cameo’s from David Banner and Juvenile, but don’t get anybody with dirt on em to perform on the song, strictly cameos. Maybe hook up with Kanye for the remix. Ah Ha, you gotta keep usin the resources at ur disposal. PEACE.

One last thing, for cameo/remix consideration. Maybe get Jigga on board, he was talkin about lyrically mos def or whatever so hey. With Jigga on board, more doors open. PEACE.

All you petty con nect punks. Lets hear that the new crimes of the century are commited by those sick with double think or thoughts of entourage mentality in order to speak a common sense truth. Open your eyes.
Open your ears. Open your hearts. Then wake up.

cameos with david banner and juvenile? might as well stick lil jon in there too and then it’ll be a party. come on kid, its about time we stop listening to this club crap and listen to true hip hop. rappers like mos def are spitting out true lyrics and trying to make a change, not just trying to put out the next hit in the club.
