- Method Man is really angry about the way he’s been treated (like a sell-out, apparently) since his last collaboration-heavy record. So he’s back with “the gritty shit” on his new LP 4:21 … The Day After.
- Nickel Creek announce they will break up … in a year and a half “at the end of 2007.” Indie rocking bluegrass bands are so well organized. [thanks BrookynVegan]
- Details about AOL airing Dylan’s Theme Time Radio Hour show, originally available only on XM and … all over the internet.
- David Byrne reveals the lineup for his Perspectives series which features, among other performances, Byrne and his band playing songs from Here Lies Love, his “multimedia song cycle” with Fatboy Slim, which apparently focuses on the life of former Philippines first lady Imelda Marcos.
- Get your goth on with more Depeche Mode reissues.
- “It sounds like it’s older but not vintage” says Linkin Park frontman Mike Shinoda of LP’s new record, which sadly won’t be out until … later because the band is busy choosing from the approximately 30-50 new songs in consideration. That’s a lot of shitty b-sides to look forward to.
